Laura's Misfortunes

16-Thanksgiving's Preparation!

"Laura! Where did you get that wild turkey?! And it's still alive!" "Mom told me to pick up a turkey, dad" Laura smiled holding back the turkey "FROM THE STORE-OH MY GOSH"

"Ocean! Laura! Can you two please pick up a store bought turkey later on?" Ray screamed while she dressed getting ready for work. "Sure!" Laura said back and Ocean nodded as they continued frying the eggs for Ray to eat.

Soon, Ray left after eating and Laura and Ocean went back to sleep. I mean it was around 6 am so...
They had no school today so they were both good.

It was now around 1 o'clock in the afternoon and they decided to get the stuff. "Should we go to Shoprite?" "No!" "Walmart?" "No!" "Why?" "...I'm banned from both" "...🙄Aldi?" "Sure..." "WhAt'Re Ya DoInG, OcEaN?" "What?" "yOu'Re SiTtInG iN mY sEaT!" "This is the drivers sea-wha-NO! You're not sitting here because you are NOT driving!" "Yes, I am!" "NO! "YES!" "NO!" They fought over the wheel before a loud horn was heard in front of them and they realized they were heading right into someone's car. "Ahh!" They twisted the wheel hurriedly turning the corner at such a fast pace before they could colide.

"Laura! Sit down! Let me drive!" "No! Why are you so difficult?!" "Me?! I'm the difficult one?? YOU ALMOST GOT US KILLED" "THAT WAS YOU" they continued arguing until they reached Aldi's "so it seems it's possible for two people to drive one car at the same time!" Laura squeaked as Ocean litterally fell out the car. "Stop...talking..." she said weakly as they entered the store.

"I'll go get turkey, cranberry sauce, and apple cider. You get stuffing, apple pie, and mashed potatoes" Laura nodded and they split up.

"Alright, your total is $12.86" the worker said to Laura who stood in line waiting for Ocean to come with the other half of the groceries. "I can't pay for that" "what?" "My sister has all the money. I'm broke" "...I will have to ask you to come back some other time then" "no! My sister is coming back now" "there are others in the line waiting-" Laura started stomping and having a temper tantrum while people stared at her screaming. "Y'all have terrible customer service! So rude, asking me to leave! I am your customer and I am always right. I say I can't pay then I don't pay." "Miss, things don't work that way-" "So now you're calling me dumb..." she sucked her teeth staring at the worker in disgust before kicking another customer in the shin without thinking.

"Excuse you!" "..." "um..hello?? Do you not hear me talking to you?!" "..." "well? Say something! You just kicked me; say sorry!" "...no" "WHAT?!" "my dad always said 'saying sorry don't fix nothing' so...what's the point?" She kicked more people.

"LAURA!!!" Laura heard Ocean calling her and she turned around. "Ocean, this worker was SO rude to me!" Laura said pointing to the worker. The worker stood there. "Are you the sister of her?" "...yes" "she caused TROUBLE. Kicked multiple customers and demanded that she didn't need to pay. That's harassment" Ocean blinked and her mouth fell open.

"..Ocean?" "..." Laura continued and threw the basket at the worker named Martha. "LAURA!" "What?" "Alright, sounds like the cops are finally here!" A customer announced in the crowd. "W-what?!" Ocean started to fiddle around.

"Someone called talking about harassment?" Two policemen walked in immediately spotting Laura and Ocean.
"*gasp* Jason...those the two girls who were driving while drunk..." the two policemen looked at them and Ocean had a look of horror on her face as she realized. "Oh, Luis...you're right!" They said instantly cuffing both of them and pushing them in the backseat of the car.

"Ocean? Why you cryin" "...*sniffle sniffle* WHAT YOU MEAN 'WHY ARE YOU CRYIN' WHAT DO YOU? WANNA GO TO JAIL?! LAURA! WE ARE FINISHED!! I STILL HAVE A LIFE AHEAD OF ME AND IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED, SO DO YOU! BESIDES, I DIDN'T EVEN TAKE PART IN THIS" Ocean cried loudly as the police talked with the Aldi's workers and customers..
