Happy Saturday! Hope you enjoy! It's snowing bad up where I live, so if it's snowing where you are stay safe and stay warm!!

Lily's POV

The day went by in a blur. We had done anything and everything possible in that basement, including finding all of Tony's old nerf guns and having a war. It was around three in the morning now, and everyone was passed out somewhere. Tony doesn't mess around when his friends sleep over. His couch was a pull out bed and he blew up two air mattresses. Him and Mike are sleeping on the couch, Vic and Jaime are on one of the air mattresses, and Sky is on the other air mattress. I'm supposed to be too, but I can't sleep.

I took my mesh blanket that Sky smuggled all my cd's in with and went outside to sit on his porch. Tony's backyard is amazing. A huge pool with connected hot tub layed smack in the middle and there was an outdoor kitchen with an outdoor bar. Im sitting against the wall of his house, next to the sliding door into his basement. When you're in his backyard you'll notice the land is on a slant, which is why there's a door from the basement.

I couldn't stay in there anymore. I was probably just going to wake someone up from my tossing and turning. I wanted to sleep, but it seemed impossible. I'm surprised any of them wanted to sleep anyway. I figured they would want to pull an all nighter and play pranks on the one who would've been first to fall asleep. But here I am, outside, alone wishing that the sun would just rise. I leaned my head back against the cobblestone and looked up to the sky, trying to count the stars.

I began to think about the stars, what they could be and what they mean, when the door slid open next to me. I usually would've jumped at the sudden noise and movement next to me, but I imagine its just Skylar who rolled over, realized I wasn't there, and came to look for me. I rolled my head over towards the door and was surprised to see Vic.

"You shouldn't be out here all alone." He said. I sighed and got up. Guess I'm busted. "I said all alone." He said and stepped outside with me. He slid the door shut and my chest flew. Was that? What was that? Not a pickup line, I know that much, but it was some sort of... thing. Was he hitting on me? Not likely. But I broke out of my gaze and noticed that Vic was sitting. So I sat back down, right next to him.

"How do you stand the cold?" he said. I noticed he had a short sleeve shirt on, but was still sporting all his bracelets. Mike said its Vic's thing; he never takes off his bracelets.

"Well for starters I have a long sleeve shirt on." I said with a smile. He smiled but rolled his eyes at me as I took the blanket off my shoulders. "Here." I said and handed him the blanket.

"You sure?" He asked and looked at me. I pushed my hand forward a little as if to say yes and he took it with a smile and wrapped it around his shoulders. "Thanks." He said. I didn't say anything and let the silence wrap around us.

"So how are you liking San Diego?" he asked, his voice seeming to echo in the quiet world. It wasn't much, only a common question, but it made me feel better. He could've asked a million other things. Why was I out here alone? Why wasn't I asleep? But he ignored it. I'm over thinking the small things again, though.

"A hell lot better than San Fransisco, that's for sure." I said. He laughed a little.

"Why's it so much better? I mean, it is heaven on earth here, but do explain." He said and turned to look at me. I turned a little too.

"Well, better people, better places, better vibes." I said. It was true, up there it was so urbanized and tourist populated. Here it's so relaxed and laid back.

"True, true." He said and smiled. He had really great teeth.

"Have you lived here all your life?" I asked. If he's gonna ask me all these questions I might as well ask him one. He looked forward and smiled.
