**MEW's POV**

Hello, I'm Mew Suppasit Jongcheevat. I'm 25 years old and I own a company that actually belongs to my mother, May.

People often label me as rude, arrogant, and self-centered. I don't say this about myself; it's what people always call me. I am indeed special, but not in a good way. I have many problems in my life. I'm allergic to many things, even to humans. I can only touch people with my right hand, and I suffer from nyctophobia. I have other issues too, which you'll get to know about in time.

Throughout my life, only my mother has truly loved me. Everyone else seems to have their own motives for caring for me or ends up betraying me. That's the thing I hate the most.

Let me tell you why I'm rude to everyone and why I don't trust anyone.

**Flashback**

When I was about to turn 20, I used to be a good and sweet person. My dad died when I was five years old, and since then, my mom raised me. I used to love my mom, my cousin Mark, my friends, and everyone around me. I trusted everyone easily. But one day, everything changed.

My mom asked me to sign a contract stating that I would take over the company when I turned 20.

Mew: "But Mom, I don't want to own any company. Why not give it to Mark?"

Mom: "You are my only son, so you will take over the company."

Mew: "But don't you love Mark? Why can't you give it to him?"

Mom: "I love him, but I love you more. You are more capable than him, and I trust only you. This company is solely mine, so I want you to take it over."

Mew: "Okay, but I have a condition."

Mom: "What condition, dear?"

Mew: "If people find out that I'm mentally or physically ill, I have to give the company to Mark."

Mom: "But son, you are already different. People will find out, and in the end, you'll have to give it to him."

Mew: "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. But I won't sign unless you add that clause."

Mom: "Okay, but don't regret it afterward. Promise me you'll take care of my company."

Mew: "Okay, Mom. I promise. I love you; you're the best."

I signed the contract and took over the company. My mom was suspicious but added another clause to the contract before submitting it to her lawyer.

The next day, in my room:

Mew: "P'Mark, I've done what you said. I'll take care of the company for now, and when I turn 20, I'll announce that I'm sick, and eventually, the company will be yours."

Mark: "You did good, Mew. I'm proud of you!"

Mew: "Why? No, in fact, I'm happy that you'll take care of my company in the future. I don't even want to do these kinds of things; I want to be a singer."

Mark: "But what about your mom?"

Mew: "Don't worry, I'll make her understand when the time comes. But promise me you'll take care of my mom's company name. Anyway, excuse me, I'm going to the washroom."

Mark: "Yeah, yeah, I promise. Go take your time."

Mew went to the washroom but forgot his towel. When he returned, he overheard Mark talking on the phone.

Mark: "Yes, Dad, our plan works! I've told him to mention that in the contract so that one day, he'll have to leave the company, and all the company shares will be ours. I'll be the owner, not that jerk."

Mew's heart shattered upon hearing this betrayal. He couldn't believe his ears and wished he could un-hear those words.

Mew confronted Mark, and a heated argument ensued. Mark revealed his true intentions and played a recording that proved Mew's friends were also in on the betrayal.

From that day on, Mew cut off all ties with them.

**Present Day**

I still regret adding that clause to the contract. Ironically, my mom added another clause that states, "If I marry someone, all my company shares will be theirs."

What a joke! I never trust anyone and will never marry someone just to give away my shares. I'm better off alone than being betrayed. No one is worthy of my company.

Since my mom passed away from cancer when I turned 20, I've been working hard to maintain her legacy. Mark has been trying to sabotage me since he returned from studying abroad. He's cunning and has managed to win everyone's trust in the company.

Despite my cold demeanor, I trust Jane, an employee at my company, but I remain cautious. Due to my past experiences, I can't bring myself to trust anyone fully.

"Mom, I miss you so much. Why did you leave me alone? Sometimes I want to die, but I can't."

Anyway, I need to sleep now. I have to meet my new secretary tomorrow. I hope he's a good person.

I slept crying on my bed.
