New day, new lessons. April wakes up in the morning feeling refreshed and fit again. It does so well to be resting after a long big day. Especially a long big day that ended up not so badly. What an evening. She never hung out with friends since a long time ago, and this one was probably one of the best she ever had. But what is sticking in her thoughts right now and that she can't wipe off her mind right now.... was Johnny. Right when she had to think about the hangout, he had to get stuck in her small round head. Why him? Why right now? Something about him yesterday is now making her feel strange when she thinks of him. It's like a real weird, but not disagreeable feeling. The way he talked yesterday, the way he acted around her.... he has indeed changed a lot since the beginning of last year. She's not sure if he changed also around other people, but he's not much of a bully around her any longer. He got kinder, caring and more enjoyable to hang out with. Wow.... April sighs at the thought of him, but smiling happily somehow, still laying on her bed and staring at the ceiling.
During the first half of the day, April has been daydreaming on Johnny, without wanting to. He became the principal subject of her mind. Starting by the morning scare lessons of the day. Professor Knight was explaining something in front of the class about silent approaches towards the child.
".... It is extremely important, and I mean it, that you make the least amount of noise your feet can do. Be as silent as a feather. Your feet shouldn't be making any sounds at all if you do not want to wake up the child. Unless there's a strategy of scaring behind it, then it is allowed. But I wouldn't recommend you to try that if you aren't a professional so far. Now how can we be as silent as a feather. Well, try to take example to...."
The students take notes and listen carefully to what the teacher says. April on her side, is lost in her thoughts. She has her notebook before her to write something about what the professor teaches, but since her thoughts replace her hearing, she doesn't hear anything else than what she is just thinking right now. Johnny. She still hasn't even figured out the reason Johnny has suddenly changed his attitude with her. He bullies and snobs anyone he spots, so why her? He hasn't changed on anything towards Mike when they were playing for the Scare Games. So why would he change for a simple monster like her? What about the Oozmas? Has he changed his behavior towards them? It wouldn't be fair if he-
"Hello? Miss Slyther?"
April startles. She searches for who called her out and she realizes that it was Professor Knight.
"Uh, yes sir?", she asks, a bit embarrassed.
"Would you mind answer to this question; if the child wakes up by the sounds you make, or if their parents heard out, what do you do?", he asks.
April thinks for a bit and quick, still a bit embarrassed from before.
"We camouflage ourselves or find the best hiding spot possible.", she suggests.
"Good. You know what you're learning, but next time, please pay attention to the lessons. We don't admit dreamy heads in our classes here.", he demands.
"Yeah ok, sorry.", April excuses herself, a hand behind her neck, sweating a bit.
The room is silent and there's a snicker that can be heard from the other side of the class. Professor Knight turns to this noise.
"What is funny about it Mr. Fritz?", he asks.
"Ah sorry. It slipped out.", Frank Fritz comments, in an arrogant confident way.
"Huh....", Professor Knight glares lightly, making him know that it wasn't smart from him, "Well anyway, let's get back to out lessons."
He turns back to the blackboard, starting another explanation. April looks to Frank, who was smirking to himself, his arms crossed, as his sister next to him elbowed him hard and sternly. What an arrogant jerk Frank is.... Well, for now, April goes back into trying to concentrate on the lessons. Even though those thoughts she had before aren't going to leave.
