Kabanata 11
We got an email from a wedding, party, and event coordinator wanting to have us as their performer, hindi naman masama na tanggapin namin 'yon so we both agree to the idea. "Paano ba 'yan Stell, I guess I'm stuck with you" then he laughs at me. Oh well no, malapit na magcollege maybe for a short time we will be together.
A new day being at school, makikita ko na nanaman ang mga bagay na hindi ko dapat makita. Kaninang umaga pinagalitan ko si Lola dahil nagwawalis na naman ng matataas na dingding, I really won't forgive myself kapag may nangyari.
Students greet me as they walk pass at me, grabe sikat na ba ako? Nakita ko sila Athena "Athena! Sikat na ako, ikaw ba leader ng fandom ko?" bungad ko pagdating ko sa lamesa nila, ang weird no Joseph around. "Oo Avery Wonderful Voice pangalan, okay lang sayo?", "Funny ka." ako dapat mang-aasar ako yung napipikon.
Walang ganap ngayon na lessons kasi computing of partial grade namin ngayon then next week is final exam na namin. Can't believe college na ako.
Nagtungo ako sa music room para balikan ang gitara ko, iniwan ko kasi dito after ng Senior's Night. As I enter the room nandon si River siguro music time nila ngayon.

I silently sneak to the music room to get my guitar, para hindi ko siya maistorbo. As I tiptoed he continued to sing and rehearse.

Then he stops, I shortly panicked baka makita niya ako. Originally it was really me and him in the senior's night but I distant myself. To stop whatever this kind of feeling is.
I wore my case strap and walk backward to monitor my front eyesight baka nandyan na siya.
I sneakily walk until I reach the almost end part of the open room then liliko na lang ako nakalabas na ako sa kabado stage ng buhay ko.
Seryoso nararamdaman ko yung pawis at mabigat na paghinga ko. I never really felt this kind of nervous especially to him, his my best friend right?
Liliko na sana ako ng tumama ako sa isang katawan, sabi ko iiwas na ako sa gulo e.
"Hi! Nandito ka pala?" I smiled at him, "Oo kanina pa, break namin." he answered, tinanguan ko na lang siya. I waved my hand to remove myself from the confrontation and awkward situation.
He held my hand as I walk away, "Iniiwasan mo ba ako?" he asked me, umiling ako, hindi naman talaga at hindi naman dapat. Baket ba ako umiiwas antanga ko talaga.
"May utang ka sa akin..." he stated, ano 'yon wala naman akong maalala "H-ha? Ano 'yon?" I laugh nervously. "Sabi mo dapat masasayaw natin ang isa't isa sa prom, baket hindi ka lumalapit o nagpapakita sa akin?" then he pouted, aww this guy.
"Busy kami sa performance e, sorry na. Tsaka nandon naman si Iris..." I smiled, "U-uh, surely nag-enjoy ka..." what a fake Stella.
"Iris? Nakasalubong ko lang siya sa labas kasi dinitch ata siya ng boyfriend niya." pagpapaliwanag nito, jusko, nagmukha ba akong demanding? Tumango na lamang ako, I see. "Selos ba 'yan? Sorry na Avery!" he shouted as I turn my back against him. "Gago, anong selos?" pagdadahilan ko.
He pulled me to the piano, "Tugtugan mo ako..." wow nang-uutos ba 'yan? Ayaw ko nga papansin 'tong lalaking 'to.
"Aba, baket ako nagbabayad ng utang sayo? Ikaw lalaki dapat ikaw gagawa." singhal ko sa kanya. Bwiset, sabi ko aalis na ako e.
May kinakalikot siya sa piano at hindi pa rin ako makaalis kasi ayaw niya ako paalisin. "River? Una na ako." I bid to him. Suddenly, a recorded piano cover of "A thousand Years" expands into the whole room.
He put his palm in front of me, "Arte neto, parang gago River." kunyari pabebe ako. A silence arise in between us, gaganyan-ganyan mahihiya naman pala.
"Ang ganda mo nung gabing 'yon." he told me without looking directly at my eyes, iniharap ko siya sa akin "Thank you Riv, ampogi mo rin nung gabing 'yon, penge bente." inirapan lang ako ng bwiset na 'to.
"Seryoso kasi parang tanga." pagdadahilan niya. "Seryoso naman ako..." I whispered.
I can't even feel my own emotions, this moment is filled with wonderful thoughts around me, pero hindi ko alam sa kanya. I tightly embrace him as he gracefully dances with me, eto yung hinahanap ko nung gabing 'yon, siya yung hinahanap ko.
"Espero que esto no termine, mi estrella." he whispered.
