While you laid fading away
An angel prepared the gates
For the welcoming of your soul
The angel came down so you know
You'll never have to be alone
When he escorted you to a new home
A place beyond the clouds
Somewhere that you'll be proud
You made it to the atmosphere
But you held on to earth with a tear
The angel said you cannot stay attached
You must move on from the past
The heavens are waiting so be glad
New things await at last
