SEEING HER SO TIRED AND WORN MADE THE OTHERS FEEL DISCOURAGED. Minsi sat beside the sleeping body, fingers untangling the dry curls she had been given for filming. She had fallen asleep so fast that she hadn't even taken off the heavy makeup her role required. "This is horrible," Gyuyoung commented as she held a new bag of Aera's favorite gummy snacks in her hand. She crinkled the paper, expecting this all to be a dream, but the noise was enough evidence that it wasn't. "I feel so stupid." Minsi shushed her co worker, eyes narrowed into slits. They both knew that it was a miracle she had even fallen asleep. "Sorry," Gyuyoung sighed.
The two girls sat in a gentle silence. Aera's body rose and fell in a rhythmic pattern. Her breaths were soft coming out, but the movement behind her eyelids was enough to show that she was dreaming. Perhaps that was the problem. Maybe she was having nightmares. It would make sense. From what they were filming and to the nightmare the outside world was becoming anyway, it wouldn't surprise Minsi. The fingers on her right hand that sat under her head began to twitch. It was like she was reaching from something; blindly searching for this anchor. "Dohyun," she whispered in a battered voice.
A strangled gasp left Minsi's lips and she quickly snapped her hand over her mouth. Dohyun?, she thought. Her head snapped toward Gyuyoung, who's jaw was slack. Their eyes met and their own questions seemed to be answered. Was that the boy she confessed to? Is he the one breaking her heart? They noticed her begin to stir. Her free hand wiped at her eyes, smearing the left over eyeliner across her cheek. Her lips parted as she released a soft sigh. She sniffed. "I'm going to kill him," Minsi whispered. How could he hurt someone so sweet like Aurora? Of all people, how could he do this to Aurora? "Oh!" Gyuyoung gasped.
Slowly, Aurora sat up and wiped at her tired eyes. She had only been asleep for thirty minutes. "Aurora?" She cracked open her eyes and glanced toward her co-stars with pouted lips. "Yeah?" she responded, voice hoarse and cracked. Minsi pulled up a chair and sat in front of her. Gently, she withdrew a cotton pad and the micellar water. "Here." She applied the liquid to a pad and began taking off Aurora's makeup. Her touch was feather light. "I brought some gummy bears," Gyuyoung spoke up and set the snacks onto the makeup table. A smile crossed Aurora's face. Her eyes closed as Minsi began on her eyeliner and eyeshadow. Black streaks stained her soft skin. "Thank you," Aurora sighed, relaxing into Minsi's soft touch.
"You've been so tired lately. Is everything okay?" She was gentle with it. Instead of cornering her, she just opened the door. Aurora pouted. She trusted both girls so much, but she knew that they would be the ones to suffer the consequences if she said anything. And she wasn't willing to risk that. "I think I'm feeling a little homesick," she fibbed. "I got into a fight with the girls and things are just so rocky. Its harder when we're away from each other." Her eyes fluttered open after Minsi had taken off her eye makeup. She switched to a makeup remover wipe and began on her cheeks first. The foundation she wore, the powder, and the remnants of her eyeliner and mascara was wiped away.
