"YOU IDIOT!!! YOU'RE GONNA KILL US!!!!" Rose cries. She had quickly ceased glancing down at her impending demise; but after the fourth minute of continued descent her screams dulled into whimpers and her cries dwindled into sobs. Time faded into mere concept rather quickly- had ten seconds passed? Five hours? she knew not, and nor did she care; and nor did Sariffall who had yet to take his eyes off the ground rapidly rising to meet them; and meet them it did.
A loud quake of Earth ripples through the land as Sariffall's metal boots land on solid ground- much to the surprise of Rose who had merely fainted at this point from the rushing winds; and much to the surprise of the forest animals who quickly flee from the impact site to save themselves from the tumbling debris.
The eyes of Rose go wide with shock, yet are still blinded by the storm of dust caused by the collision; but more is she shocked to find herself completely unharmed and laying in the arms of Sariffall who, as the dust fades enough for her vision to be made useful, is revealed to be standing in the center of a small indent in the dirt.
Fear and relief embrace each other in a polar bond of emotions that share Rose's mind as she immediately frees herself from Sariffall's grasp and trips up the craters sloped walls, falling to the ground after finding flat land at last. Her arms clutch and embrace her body as she curls into a ball, motionless; and she weeps softly to herself as she begins to have a mental breakdown- her knees curl to her chest tightly.
Eventually - far too late but better late than never - realization finally sets in for Sariffall. Awkwardly he walks over to the frightened Rose, currently having a panic attack, and looks down at her apologetically; however, not knowing what to do, he kneels down to her level, giving her a hug. He had long forgotten how to give proper comfort, but his empathy wouldn't allow him to ignore her wails of metal anguish.
