Chapter 15: Can You Feel My Heart?

~Dakota's P.O.V~ 

I cant believe all of this is happening, in one night. I wasnt even planning to see the boys tonight and now just...  this? Mike kissed me; im not sure how i feel about that, i mean, i thought me and Jaime were headed in that direction... not me and Mike. Hearing Tony and his arguement... obviously not, Tony said Jaime liked some girl, and if that girl was me id think id know so. Im determinded to find out who this girl is. 

We were walking the few blocks it takes to get to Josh's from Julia's. In the front Tony's ear was being chatted off by a drunk Julia, behind them Vic and Mike walked, i walked behind them and Jaime was trailing way behind me. Part of me wants to fall back and walk with him, but the majority of me couldnt let myself do that. Before i knew it we were in the yard of Josh's house, i looked up to see my preppy, smart, skinny, blonde cousin standing before our little group. 

"Alyssa... hiii..." I said between clenched teeth as she heald my body close to hers. 

"Dakota! What is up cousin! You never returned any of my calls." She heald me at arms lenght with a fake smile on her face. 

"Well how can i return calls that were never made?" I returned the fake smile and ripped out of her grip. 

"No need to be rude." Alyssa glared. But Julia stepped in between us, facing Alyssa.

"Back up, bitch." My best friend growled.

Three of boys stared wide-eyed, as if you could see their tails flickering and you could hear their growls, they didnt know what to do, but Tony came behind Julia and wrapped his arms around her to hold her back from ripping my cousins head off, Mike did the same with me. Julia and Alyssa never liked each other. I heard Tony whisper in Julia's ear, but i couldnt make out what he said.

Julia sighed and turned around "Well this is awkward, Dakota how about we go and get a drink, hmm?"

"Yeah, that sounds great." I spoke, not breaking the glare me and my cousin shared. 

"Can I come with?" Mike whispered in my head. I nodded my head in approval and the four of us walked toward the house, Mikes arm never leaving my waist.

~Mike's P.O.V~

Wow, Alyssa was pretty, but Dakota was prettier. I felt the awkward tention between Dakota and Alyssa and Julia and Alyssa, so i didnt wanna stick around to get to know Alyssa anymore. This was my time to finally spend time with Dakota. Julia open the front door of Josh's house and sighed.

"Dakota, sweets, im gonna go find a very well needed blunt. Can you and Mike handle finding the also well needed drinks?" She looked back and forth between Dakota and I. 

"Yeah, if thats alright with Dakota?" I half asked, half stated and looked at her. She weakly smiled and nooded in agreement. 

"Great." Julia slightly nooded and turned to step in the door but Tony spoke up.

"Wait! Whadda bout me?" He said, very concerned. Julia just giggled and smiled. 

"You're coming with me, silly." Tony smiled widly and nodded.

They went one way and we went in the direction of, what i assumed, the kitchen. After getting through the endless crowd of people we made it into a surprisingly empty kitchen, it was just us. I mentally smiled at the thought of having her all to myself. Dakota made her way over to the counter, leaned up against it and ran her hands through her hair, sighing very loudly. I stood infront of her and wrapped my arms around her. She instantly hugged back.
