The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not in the ballroom or church or synagogue. It's a choice you make on your wedding day, and over and over again and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband.

Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ganapati Mandir, SK Bole Marg, Prabhadevi, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400028With the help of Sam, Shree and of course Yuvraj, I finally came inside the temple which seemed almost impossible to me at first when I saw the long trail of my lehenga. The photoshoot will be taking place outside the temple but we decided to offer prayers to Ganpati bappa first. The temple was secluded because of our ceremony and our presence here. After all, the Chief Minister of New Delhi, a former Miss world, a few billionaires, a renowned doctor, two famous models and a famous interior designer were present at the place.
The temple was given a makeover to a uniquely designed six-storied structure but the deity was kept intact. The new structure is crowned with a gold-plated kalash placed above the central dome. Apart from the central dome, 37 other smaller domes adorn the temple structure. Fine marble and pink granite were used to rebuild the shrine. There are a total of three entrances that lead to the temple interiors. The wooden doors of the temple exhibit exquisitely carved images of the eight manifestations of the presiding deity of the temple, known as Ashtavinayak. The dome lit up with multiple colors in the evenings and they keep changing every few hours. In the periphery, there is a Hanuman temple as well.
We all went inside the mandap that has the idol of Shree Siddhi Vinayak. The inner roof of the sanctum is plated with gold, and the central statue is of Ganesha. The statue of Shri Ganesha is located exactly under the dome. The inner roof of the sanctum is plated with gold, and the central statue is of Ganesha. Standing in front of the beautiful idol which is carved out of a single piece of black stone. The idol showed the lord Ganesha as chaturbhuj or having four hands, holding a garland of holy beads, a lotus, a small ax and a plate of modak in each. Siddhi and Riddhi, the two consorts of Lord Ganesha, are placed on either side of the Ganesha Idol. On the forehead of the idol, a third-eye is itched, which resembles that of Lord Shiva's. The unique feature of the main idol at SiddhiVinayak temple, Mumbai is that the tilt of Lord Ganesha's trunk is towards the right. Most Ganpati idols in the country have their trunk tilted towards the left. The upper floors of Shree Siddhi Vinayak Temple of Bombay comprises the residential quarters of its priests.
