Third-person POV:

Vines. Vines colored in raven black plants. Tightened together and slowly moving in synchronization around. The four friends found themselves to be stopped for a moment, sitting motionless in the pile of plants.

"What- what are these things?" Ron asked out loud.

"Devil's Snare... they're a rather peculiar plant...." Hermione replied.

"How so?" Harry jumped in.

"Well, they tend to be a type of plant used to keep unwanted guests out. The type that is perfect to use when keeping out people like 'You-Know-Who' and Professor Snape." Hermione finished.

"Yeah but, were apparent intruders too. Shouldn't they be....." Rose was cut off due to an unwanted distraction.

Suddenly, the long, thick black vines began to trap Harry and his friends in their grasp. Every waking moment, the vines wrapped around the friends, making it harder and harder to move. Harry, Ron, and Rose began to squirm like crazy, but Hermione on the other hand was staying completely still.

"You guys, stop moving! Devil's Snare is attracted to the movement of its victims. You have to relax, otherwise, it'll only kill you faster.." she explained.

"KILL US FASTER? Well, now I can relax Hermione!" Ron shouted sarcastically.

Hermione closed her eyes and stayed perfectly still. She immediately was pulled beneath the plant.

"Hermione! No!" Rose screamed.

"Hermione where are you?!" Harry asked.

"Just relax and do as I say! Trust Me!"

Rose and Harry eventually had managed to calm down. They too were pulled down. They found Hermione who was safe and completely out of the Devil's Snare.

Ronald on the other hand was not relaxing one bit. He yelled and thrashed around without a clue that he could actually die.

"Ugh! He's not relaxing is he?" Hermione asked.

"No, definitely not!" Rose said worriedly.

"Um....Wait. There's an enchantment to remove Devil's Snare...."

"Wait a minute. I know what your talking about. Devil's Snare... um"

The girls gasped and looked at each other. They figured out the rhyme.

"It's deadly fun, but will sulk in the sun!" They recited together.

"That's it! Devil's Snare hates sunlight!" Rose replied.

Hermione raised her wand up to the deadly plant; "Lumos Solemn!!", a flash of bright natural light came from Hermione's wand, and shortly after, Ron came safely to the ground.

"Whoop! Luckily we didn't panic, am I right?!" Ron exclaimed obliviously.

The others were displeased. Rose went ahead and patted him on the shoulder.

"Luckily Hermione and I pay attention in Herbology," she said.

"Geez, mate. When did your sister get so tough?" Ron whispered to Harry.

"She's actually always been strong. Guess you just haven't noticed." Harry said annoyed.

The four Gryffindor's continued their journey to find small chirping sounds. They walked through the pathway to find dozens of keys flying around, with a door on the other side, consisting of a keyhole with a particular shape.

"I've never seen birds like these before..." Hermione said.

"They aren't birds, Hermione. They're keys. And if I'm correct, that rusty, broken-winged one will unlock that door...." Rose said looking up at the flying keys, and back down at the door.

The group looked up and spotted the one Rose had mentioned, and nodded in agreement.

Ron tried an unlocking spell, just in case, but it unfortunately failed. He looked back towards the others in a disappointed look. Then his face lit up when he saw a broomstick, floating idly in the middle of the room.

"Wait a bloody second.....you know what this means right?" he turned to Harry with a huge smile.

"Wha-wait... you don't think.."

"Oh yes, Harry. Why else would there be golden flying keys and a broomstick just lying around? Go on, mate. You've got this." Ron patted Harry on the back before waving for him to grab the broom.

Harry hopped on the broomstick and began ascending into the air. He gained balance before zooming to catch the broken-winged key. The rest of the keys, surrounded him and scratched at his face, making the task slightly more difficult than expected.

Harry did his best to avoid the attacking keys and managed to catch the correct key. He threw it down, allowing for Hermione to catch it and unlock the door. Ron, Hermione and Rose went through, let Harry in, and shut it to block the keys.

The broom broke when Harry landed, so he put it to the side so that the four friends could continue their journey through the mysterious path. They reached the edge of a pretty little indoor garden with a strange sight. An injured unicorn, that looked just like the Great Mare, lay stiff on the ground, nearly motionless, and out of life.
