Jessie got herself dressed up and she was waiting outside with George

"Why aren't you going to wear your hero suit?" George asked her

"Because I am not a hero" Jessie answered

"You were"

"George, you are use to it but... Lucia isn't and I don't want to keep bring all these fights into my life"

"What about that drawing Lucia keeps doing of you, Sam, Bucky and the wierd man?"

"Well... I don't know, I said I was done after we all lost Tony and Nat"

"Mom, you can't run away from it... I think Sam and uncle Bucky will need your help soon and you got to do it. I have the best part saying my mom and dad are Avengers but neither of you want to do it" George kept arguing with her

"I do want to, trust me. I miss that life but... I can't go back to it because it isn't the same anymore... I lived in that life before and while I had you as well... I just don't want that to be your normal as you grow up George"

"I think it is too late for that one" George said

"Stop acting so grown up ready, you're not even 10" Jessie laughed as she hugged him before Rhodey came outside with Lucia
"You're running late" Jessie smiled

"I know, well we are here now" Rhodey said as they all got into the car and made their way to the Smithsonian.

They soon arrived, standing at the front by someone Rhodey knew and the children infront of them. Jess was in a slightly less formal clothing compared to the over officials around her but it was the easiest way to hide her 3 and a bit month bump.
"Steve represented the best in all of us. Courageous, righteous, hopeful and he master posing stoically" Sam started, causing the room to fall into some laughter
" the world has been forever changed. A few months ago billions of people reappear after 5 years away, sending the world into turmoil. We need new Heroes once suited for the time we're in. Symbols... I'm nothing without the woman men that give the meaning and this thing" Sam laughed a little as he picked up the shield, cameras lighting up as Sam held it
" I don't know if it ever been a greater symbol but it's more about the man who propped it up and he's gone. Today we honour Steve's legacy but also we look to the future... Thank you Captain America" Sam said, looking up at the huge Banner with Steve's face on it. Jessie rested her hands on George's shoulders as she looked away slightly and took a deep breath.
"This belongs to you" Sam continued before everyone gave him an applause. They uncovered this glass box where some people placed the shield inside it, cameras lighting up the room until the glass was closed and locked shut.

"Thanks again for coming forward with the shield, Sam. It was the right decision" The male said, shaking Sam's hand while Rhodey stood with him. Jessie was stood away with George and Lucia, looking at the other items close to them in the Smithsonian.

"Jess, wanna go for a small walk?" Rhodey asked, coming over to her and the kids

"Um sure, Hi Sam" Jessie smiled as she hugged him

"Hi Jessie" Sam laughed before the kids ran over

"Uncle Sammy!" Lucia laughed before Sam hugged her and also George. The 5 went into the Smithsonian and over the Captain America section.
"Momma, look it is you!" Lucia said, seeing an old picture of Jessie, Bucky and Sam

"Yeah it is" Jessie nodded

"Uncle Bucky and Captain Steve" George said

"Who's she?" Lucia asked

"My old best friend Peggy" Jessie answered

"We are gonna talk, you okay with watching them?" Rhodey asked her

"Of course" Jessie nodded as walked over to the two, watching them look through the pictures

"Where was this one taken?" George asked Jess

"Umm, at the SSR... on my first day, it was basically everyone's first official day back in the New York after the war" Jessie answered as she looked at the group photo from the New York station.

"Can you tell us about it?" Lucia asked

"That was our old Chief, this... hmm... this was Daniel Sousa and that was Jack Thompson" Jessie smiled as she carefully placed her hand over it with a smile
"They were some of the best people that I knew after Steve and James had left"

"Wow, I wish I could see them... momma, can we get ice cream after?"

"Sure we can Lucia" Jessie laughed as she walked with them around some more as they found the section on Bucky

"Look, it is uncle Bucky!" Lucia giggled as she looked at him

"Hey" Rhodey smiled, walking upto them

"Hi dad, look!" Lucia giggled

"Is Sam still here?" Jessie asked him

"Yeah he is down by the suit" Rhodey nodded

"I'll meet you at the car" Jessie smiled as she walked over to Sam
"Hey Birdy" Jessie laughed a little

"Nice to see you to" Sam laughed as they hugged

"How are you doing?" Jessie asked him

"I'm good" Sam nodded slowly

"Torres told me about your little mission yesterday"

"You know Torres?"

"I met him a month ago, he is a chatty guy" Jessie laughed

"He is" Sam nodded

"Why don't you come with us for Ice Cream?" Jessie offered

"Another time, I got to go see my nephews and sister" Sam said and Jessie nodded as they started to walk out of the Smithsonian

"Call me if you get any new missions, I heard about those Flag smasher groups that Torres is tracking so I am happy to help" Jessie smiled

"I will" Sam smiled as he walked with her to the car where the 2 kids and Rhodey were stood

"Hi Sammy!" Lucia smiled from inside the car

"Hey kiddo, your mom said you're going to get ice cream" Sam said and Lucia nodded

"I will bring you a cake next time I see you" Lucia smiled

"I'll take you flying" Sam laughed as he high fives her

"Can I fly redwing around?" Goerge asked

"Of course" Sam laughed

"See you soon" Jessie smiled as she opened up her car door and got in as she rolled the window down
"Tell Sarah I say hi" Jessie added

"I will, see you soon Jess" Sam laughed as he walked off to his own car
