~It's morning ~
Choi yeon woo wakes up
Yeon woo: my aunt doesn't recall the fact that mom was wearing a headband the day she disappeared but I do. However, because I'm mono, I don't know what color headband it was. I see things in shade of gray, so I can't say.
Yeon woo: what color?
Mom: ye-llow Ye-llow
Yeon woo:*wakes up from dream **yells* no! *looks around**gets up*walks to aunt**turns tv on *
Yeon woo:(his mind) - people with a monochromatic vision, those who see the world only in shades of gray, are called mono. We're different from those who have total color blindness. Our cone cells aren't Impaired, but our Brains can't distinguish the colors.
(T/N: cone cells are the cells in the retina that identify colors.)
We are able to see colors if we look at a certain Someone. And that person... who opens up the world of colors is known as probe. The issue is that it's very rare for a mono and probe to meet and there are some who don't ever get a chance to meet. Monos show strong obsession towards probes because they worry that they will lose the ability to see colors again and their obsession results in crimes it's only right for monos and probes to never meet one another.
Aunt:*wakes up and turns tv off**sighs* why are you even watching something like that ? *grabs coffee *
Yeon woo:*grabs her envelope*
/application for high school transfer admission/
Yeon woo: I'm transferring again
Aunt:yes this time, you're going to an all-boys high school.
Yeon woo: an all-boys high school, and not coed?
Aunt: why? *chuckles* Are you dissatisfied? You don't even date.
Yeon woo:(speaks in his head again) - I hit a boy who teased me about being a mono, and now I'm transferring to a new school, once again.-
Next day( going to the school)
Aunt: I don't know who it is but someone threatened to kill me if I look into the mono case again
Yeon woo: so aunt please be careful you don't know who you are up against
Aunt: that's more the reason to keep digging I'll dig, and dig. I must keep digging
Yeon woo:(speaks in his head)- four years ago, after mom disappeared ,( aka die) my aunt started looking through cases to find mom's whereabout. *rolls window down* my mom is a mono, just like me.
Flash back[the six missing are well revealed to be monos][ all six missing victims are found to be monos. They all attended the same gathering and went missing right after.]
*out of flashback*
Yeon woo: white, snowy white, sliver gray, silver, moonlit gray, cement gray, mouse gray, charcoal gray, and black.
[the six missing are all revealed to be monos]
Yeon woo: those are the 10 colors that my mom taught me, colors from the gray palette. Even though in the world of gray, different colors can exist.
Teacher: attention. Today we have a new transfer student joining our class , introduced yourself
Yeon woo: I'm choi yeon woo
Teacher:*looks at yeon* is that it ?
Yeon woo: yes
Teacher:okay see that empty seat next to the class leader ? You can sit there
Class:*watches him*
Student 1 : hi
Yeon woo:hi
Teacher: hold on, class leader
Student 1:yes
Teacher: one's missing
Student1:oh
Teacher:*aish* asleep like always yah is he not going to debut? Why does he even bother coming to school?
Yeon woo:*looks at him*
Teacher: unbelievable you all seem to be here, so I'll skip the roll call listen to your teachers and don't chat in class got it ?
Class: yes sir
Teacher: that'll be all *leaves*
Student 2: *taps your shoulder *hi I'm king min jae I hope we get along *smiles*
Yeon woo:*smiles* oh I'm choi yeon woo right back at you
Student 2: are you also a trainee?
Yeon woo: also ?
Student 2: you look like a trainee
(T/N: he means he has the look to be a trainee) him too *puts at him*
Min jae:hey*shakes head *
Student 2: okay fine . I'll cut it out my name is jung joo haeng. As you can see, I'm the class leader
Min jae: also, the person joo jae Gn mentioned is go yoo Han, the one taking a nap right here although he denies being a trainee because trainees aren't revealed to the public, he is an idol trainee if you have any questions, just ask joo haeng
Joo: why me ?
