All his life he had seen black. It was the only color he's seen for 16 years, relying on touch, hearing, smell, and taste. Despite his disability, the boy had a dream that everyone thought was impossible. A dream to fly, like the Little Giant he's always heard about from the news, his parents, and even his little sister. Nobody besides his family believed him when he said he wanted to play volleyball, but his parents helped him reach his dream. They ordered a custom made volleyball with small holes and bells inside. Surprisingly, he caught on quickly and became confident in his dream. His parents signed him up to go to Karasuno, where the principal gladly accepted him and got specific equipment for the blind.

The volleyball team was a little wary of the boy who wanted to play blind, but got used to using the custom balls. Over time, they all gained a soft spot for the tangerine and at least one player would accompany him everywhere. They were no longer the flightless crows; they were able to fly once again with the next Little Giant. The other teams had met him and immediately adored him, even the coaches wanted him to join their team but the blind boy stayed loyal to Karasuno, earning him the name; The Blind Boy who could Fly. One day at a training camp, Noya asked a question, earning a whack in the head by Daichi and Suga but nonetheless, got an answer. What was the question you might ask?

Flashback...

Karasuno, Nekoma, Inarizaki, Aoba Johsai, Shiratorizawa, Fukurodani, Date Tech, and Itachiyama were taking a break from practice, sitting outside and eating when Nishinoya, Karasuno's libero asked a question that silenced everyone.

"Hey Shōyō, if you were able to see, what would be the thing that you would want to see the most?"

"Nishinoya Yuu!" Karasuno's captain and vice captain yelled in unison, smacking Noya in the head. As the libero rubbed the patch where he was hit, Hinata giggled and set his hashi down, sighing in sadness. Noya apologized and told Hinata he didn't have to answer his question, but the short wing spiker shook his head and replied.

"The thing I would want to see the most are you guys of course! I have pictures of what I think you look like depending on your voice, but I doubt I'm anywhere close to what you actually look like." Hinata twisted the cane in his hands nervously as everyone stared at the boy in silence. Suga teared up and hugged his child tightly, catching him by surprise.

Present time...

And now they were here. It was Hinata's birthday and they had a training camp to attend to. Every player was giddy to see the orange haired boy, for they all had a surprise for him. Over the past months, players, coaches, and their families pitched in and raised just enough money to get Hinata glasses. Not just any glasses though, for they were smart glasses; a type to help the blind see. It had costed ¥1,089,530, or $10,000, but it was worth it.

Everyone was gathered in the gym except Karasuno as they were the last to arrive. Ms. Hinata and Natsu were already there with the package, which would be handed off to Coach Ukai when they arrived. The screech of bus tires was heard outside and everyone quickly settled down, camera's out and ready to record this special moment as Karasuno walked through the gym doors. Hinata was the last to enter, holding onto Yamaguchi's arm and cane to help guide the way. Once they were inside, everyone yelled happy birthday at the same time, surprising Hinata as he and Yamaguchi came to a halt in front of everyone. Ms. Hinata walked up quietly and handed Ukai the box before he started talking.

"Hinata Shōyō, you have only been with us for a couple months, but it feels like years. I think I can speak for everyone when I say you are the sun in our lives." Everyone chuckled an Hinata smiled slightly, still clinging onto the flustered green haired boy.

"You have improved so much and didn't let your disability or anyone get you down. You kept pushing forward, making everyone'd day brighter in the process and we were no longer the flightless crows. Everyone here; Karasuno, Inarizaki, Nekoma, Shiratorizawa, Aoba Johsai, Fukurodani, Date Tech, and Itachiyama, including coaches and families helped pitch in to get you a gift." Hinata heard a rustle, as if someone was taking something out of tissue paper before feeling Yamaguchi gently held out his hand and something leathery and hard was handed to him. He traced the figure and felt a crease, which he opened and reached inside. Hinata felt the object and took it out of the case, confused on why they would get him glasses. Then it hit him, when he felt a little box on the arm of the glasses and Hinata started tearing up. Ukai smiled, knowing his student probably figured it out.

Camera's were recording, tears were spilling, everyone was smiling, and Hinata shakily raised the glasses up to his eyes before hesitating and wiping his tears first. Placing the glasses on his face, looking at the floor before slowly looking up. He chocked a sob and collapsed to the ground, letting go of his cane and Yamaguchi's arm. Covering his mouth, tears flowed down his cheeks as Hinata looked around at everyone. He took off the glasses, wiping the fresh tears on his face and standing up before putting the glasses back on. Sniffing, he looked up at Yamaguchi, examining every feature and hugged him before going around and doing the same for everyone in the gym. The last 2 people were his mother and sister, who he ran towards and enveloping them in a group hug. He kneeled down in front of his sister and held her face in his hands, wiping the tears with his thumbs and hugging her tightly.

"So... what do you think nii-chan?" He sighed and looked around again.

"It's... It's..." The gym was silent, waiting for Hinata's feedback. He smiled softly and picked up Natsu.

"Amazing..." He opened his other arm, gesturing for everyone to come forward as everyone piled in on the hug, smiling or sobbing, or both.
