Loki woke first from the soft morning light. It was still dim but maybe something about his internal clock was just naturally in synch with the day and night cycles of Jötunheimr. He nuzzled his face between the pillow and the back of Kitri's neck as his arms squeezed her tighter against him.

She let out a soft sign, melting backwards into his embrace. Even though she was still deep in slumber, he knew that if he looked at her face he would see a small smile at his contact. She even did it subconsciously as she slept if he did something sweet, like kiss her on the head or cheek or hold her closer.

He quietly made a double on the other side of the room to check, and grinned into the pillow as he confirmed that her little adoring smile was there on her face as she slept.

After a few minutes he rolled over onto his back, supporting his head with his hand. He chuckled to himself as Kitri seemed to almost instinctively turn herself around in her sleep and wrap her arm around his waist, trying to get back to being as close to him as possible.

He softly traced her skin, watching her sleep in pure bliss. It has been far too long that he had let himself just enjoy the moments with her, usually much too focused on being prepared to chase her again when she decided to slip away.

Something felt different this time though, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was that made this feel so much more secure than the previous times he tracked her down. He gently kissed the top of her head and just kept his lips there, breathing in the scent of her hair as he let out a deep sigh.

As he opened his eyes he noticed the blue leather bound book on the counter near the door that she must have brought in without him noticing. The same Vanir book that caught her attention in Tyr's room.

"I am certain she must want to learn more about the war... Perhaps I could help with that somehow." Loki thought to himself.

Even that small slip of thought was enough to wake her, and she sighed as she clung to him tighter and nuzzled her face into his neck, kissing it softly.

"Well you are being awfully sweet to me, Kitri. What has gotten into you?" He teased with a chuckle.

"Mmm.." She murmured as she hid her face against his side. "Perhaps I am mirroring your affections, Loki. I really have missed you terribly."

"Growing soft on me, have you? I knew my charm would get to you eventually!" He accused playfully with a proud smile.

Kitri was rubbing her eyes, but pulled herself up to look at him properly as she heard him.

"You lay here smiling like a fool, but are too distracted by my presence to focus on one of your devious plans? Who is growing soft on whom, now?" She accused with a smirk.

It was then that Loki realized he had lost focus on listening in to the happenings within the rest of their surroundings.

Kitri let out a soft laugh. "Your mother is looking for you, Tyr." She teased as she rolled over to face away from him, wrapping herself more snug into the blankets with a comfortable sigh.

Loki let out a quiet groan, placing his hand on her covered shoulder and giving it a gentle squeeze. His touch left her slowly as he disappeared out of the room.

Kitri rolled back over and stretched, before getting up to start to get ready for the day.

Loki disguised himself as Tyr once again and walked out of Tyr's bedroom, looking around and seeing Tyr's mother rushing up the stairs and toward him.

"My son!"

She seemed a bit disheveled, stress getting to her as she lightly shook Loki by the shoulders with some urgency. "I have been looking everywhere for you! It isn't like you to sleep in, where have you been?"
