Darah and Ron danced awkwardly together, swaying to the music.

Darah tucked her falling hair behind her ear. 'So.' She started, attempting to fill in the awkward silence. 'Are you looking forward to the triwizard tournament? It's been a pretty chaotic start so far with the whole death eater thing.'

'Oh, yeah. I'm excited. How are you by the way, after that whole thing?'

She shrugged. 'It was weird.' She wanted to explain to him everything about Lucius and how she felt sick every time someone mentioned Snape being a death eater. She didn't want to imagine thoughts like that.

'Yeah. My Mum is really worried. Because she wasn't there at the Quidditch, she imagines the very worst.'

Darah hummed in response.

'Luckily Dumbledore's here, I guess. How's your dad with it all?'

Darah wasn't paying full attention so she just kept nodding and humming, but then it finally registered what he had said. 'Oh my dad? He's...' she thought carefully for a second. 'Being very protective.'

Ron murmured, nodding. They continued to dance as the music sped up a little.

Suddenly, they both felt a thump as a girl fell into them.

'Mione, watch where you're going.' Ron complained.

'Sorry.' Hermione laughed apologetically.

'I see you're the life of the party tonight.' Darah smiled proudly.

She shrugged. 'It's actually amazing, being drunk.'

'Honestly, it's the last thing I expected from you.' Darah half laughed.

'I'm gonna regret this in the morning, aren't I?' She groaned and began to mope.

'Most likely.' She patted Hermione on the back. 'Go have a seat with Harry, he's looking a little... lonely.'

And with that, Hermione made her way towards the table Harry was sat at, twiddling his thumbs.

'Did you see that?!' Ron practically spat at Darah. 'His eyes flickered when he saw her.'

Darah turned around, rolling her eyes. 'And what's your point?'

'She's-' Ron stuttered.

Darah cupped her hand to her ear dramatically. 'Hmm? What's that? I can't hear you.'

Ron scowled at her forgivingly.

'Admit it, Ronald. You're in love with her.' Darah played on his mind.

Ron didn't answer. He just stared in Hermione's direction, longingly.

Hermione had gone to bed after feeling the effects of alcohol slowly getting to her. Harry talked to Ginny and Neville for most of the night, away from the centre of everything. Ron and Darah joined them after dancing for half an hour.

'How was your summer with Malfoy, Darah?' Ginny elbowed her, wiggling her eyebrows.

'Don't do that.' She slapped her back playfully, making Ginny laugh. 'It was nice.' She said modestly.

'That's it?' Ginny scoffed. 'Just nice?'

Darah groaned as everyone stared at her waiting for a proper answer. 'Ok fine. It was... good, at first.'

'Oo, she has some tea to spill.' Ginny egged her on, resulting in Darah giving her the finger and sticking out her tongue.

'His... cousin? I don't even know anymore.' Darah shook her head. 'She was there, and there's some serious tension between her and Draco.'
