My Dad Would Like To Be Santa

His belly's growing bigger,
And his hair is becoming white,
His eyes shine moreover sparkle,
Like the twinklers on Christmas night.

He couldn't drape down chimneys,
When he can fit into a door,
One mince pie would nevermore do,
He'd only beg for more.

He prefers a nip of brandy,
It fixes his cheeks aglow,
When he misremembers the words to carols,
He just yells Ho, Ho, Ho.

He hasn't acquired a reindeer,
That runs quietly through space,
But his vehicle is Eco Friendly,
And could strike Rudolph in a race.

He can't manage a new red suit,
With shoes and matching belt,
But his laugh is friendlier than the sun,
That can cause the snow covers to melt.

My dad would love to be Santa,
And load the realm with glee,
So till they promote the job,
He'll give all his affection to me.
