He was gone.Bilbo was gone, he left like I told him to. I wasn't mad, but when I awoke to find the company gone and his room empty I couldn't help but feel sad, but I had a plan. Bilbo didn't seriously think I would stay here, did he? However, as I walked back into my room and glanced at my bedside table I saw a sheet of paper laying by my pillow. I guess I hadn't noticed it when I first got up. I lifted the letter to my face and instantly recognized Bilbo's elegant handwriting. It looked like it took a few minutes to write this, you'd think it would have been a quick scribble, but no. I sat down on my bed and scanned over the message.
"Dear Arielle,
I'm sorry for being so selfish, for leaving you here as I go out on an adventure. Even though you told me you wouldn't be angry if I left, I can't help but feel terrible. I know that I may be gone for long and I might not even come back. If something does happen to me, I leave the house and all my belongings to you, my dearest. Since you knocked on my door that first day I knew you were special, and I shall treasure you always in my heart. Goodbye my Arielle.Love, Bilbo "
Well shit, he really put some thought into this letter, so it's going to be really awkward when I pop out of no where like, "Hey, guess who? I'm here for the adventure". But, I was doing it anyway. There was no way I was letting this chance slip by. Dodging orcs, fighting a dragon, maybe even finding something about my strange tattoo, or that mysterious man in my dreams. I had to go, Bilbo would have to understand that I wanted this just as much of he did, and besides let's face it, I'm way better at handling a sword then him.
After eating a big breakfast I rushed into my room to gather my things. Let's see let's see...extra pair of clothes, shoes, sleeping roll and pillow,my small herbs which I used for medicine(learned that from my parents), hair brush, food, my daggers, tooth brush (yes I'm putting it in here, even if they don't have them), and lastly I grabbed my sword which I slipped into its sheath and my side. I then picked up my bow and arrows which I swung over my back after putting on the ack pack. I closed my chest at the door of my bed. Bilbo is going to kill me after finding out I his all these weapons on my room, but what can I say? I use the daggers to shave my pits? Well actually... never mind. I walked out of my room and into the hallway. I had to leave soon because even though I knew I could track them, I didn't want to lose time.
Walking to the front door I couldn't help but turn back to look at my home. I've lived here for a few years now, it was my home and who knows when I would be coming back to it, if I even did. That thought sent shivers down my spine. I thought of the dragon that they were talking about just the other night. Incineration? Maybe staying at home didn't seem so bad after all, NO! What am I saying? I must go. This is my chance to have the adventure I've always wanted, and let's face it, Bilbo won't make it without me. So with that thought in mind I opened the front door, locked it behind me, and started running.
I ran down the hills, jumped over fences, and plowed through gardens, making my way to the dirt road out of Hobbiton.
"Where are you running off to, miss Arielle?" My neighbor Stanley asked in shock as I leaped over a goat on the path. Sprinting past his house I couldn't help but smile and laugh at the realization that I would most likely not last a day on this trip.
"I'm going on an ADVENTURE!!!"
