Lance's P.O.V.

flashback

I was walking down the street of the water city Crocus when I was bumped by someone. I turned around and saw a kid 12 years old by the look of it. "Are you okay?" I asked putting my hand out to help him up. "Yeah thanks," He said taking my hand. I helped him up and looked at his face. He had pale skin,dark black hair,and eyes with milky white irises. "Are you okay kid your eyes are pure white?" I asked putting a hand on his cheek. "Yeah fine. My eyes don't really matter it's my ears that do the work," He said. "Are you blind?" I asked. "No," He said removing my hand. "Well I've never seen someone with your eye color before," I said. "Yeah that's why I was abandoned by my parents and live under the bridge," He said tearing up. I hugged him tight feeling something I haven't felt in a long time. "Um thanks for the hug but I need to get back to the bridge to my friend," He said. I pulled away slowly. "Never mind she's already here," He said pointing to my shoulder. I looked and saw a little purple monster with devil horns (A/N I don't know what it's called so tell me if you know). "Come here Trixie," He said taking the monster off my shoulder. "You named it Trixie," I said. "No it's the name she's had since hatching," He said. "How do you know?" I asked. "She told me," He said. "She told you?" I asked. "Yeah I can understand monsters and I can also see the Drops," He said "And speaking of the Drops aren't you Lance the Guild Dragon Caller,". "Yes and you are," I said. "Nyx," He said. "A pleasure to meet you Nyx," I said. "Pleasure to meet you too," Nyx said. He started walking off. "Wait Nyx," I said. He turned around and said "Yeah,". "Come with me please," I said. "Okay," Nyx said coming next to me. We started walking and talking going to the Guild.

Nyx was training in the arena with Garnet Nyx was beating the crap out of the blonde. "Wow Nyx you've gotten better," Garnet said. "Well I have a good teacher," He said looking at me. He smiled and I smiled back.
