"No mum!!! what do you guys not understand, i dont want to get married"
"Sana what is this behaviour, meri jaan, every woman has to get married one day or another, it is our destiny"
Her mum grabbed her hand and gave it a little squeeze hoping she would understand.
Sana spoke, annoyed more than before,
"Mum that might have been the case back then, but not now, i want to complete my education! I've only got a year left, please try to understand"
Her mum stood up, her face red with anger. She threw the pictures onto the couch and said "Fine do what you want but just think 'log kya sochangey!"
"OH MUM PLEASE NOT AGAIN!"
Her mum just left the room in complete utter silence, just as sana thought that maybe there was a slight chance that her mum was not annoyed with her, she heard the door slam shut.
A WEEK LATER:
"Ok, bye mum have fun"
Sana's Family were all going to her cousin Manahil's wedding.
She could not attend as her studies were still ongoing.
"okay goodbye dear, look after yourself, oh and when ever you leave the house make sure to turn the lights on"
"will do mum" she giggled whilst she waved her family goodbye.
After a while, sana got hungry, you see she had no idea how too cook so at this moment she regretted not listening to her mums cooking lessons!
She sprinted up the stairs to get her card from her purse only to see her mum took it!!
Feeling hopeless and hungry, she sat on the sofa staring at the window. She zoned out for a bit thinking about the life she wanted: living alone, maybe a cat, not having to get permission from anyone, just freedom in general" You could say she was bird trapped in a cage, who just wanted be let out so it could flap its wings and fly far away into the sky, lost but in control.
All of a sudden, loud sounds started coming from outside, Sana looked outside to see, and to her surprise it was a wedding! Suddenly, she had an idea.
Pulling out her best dress and jewellery, she got ready to go and get some wedding food!
All her faves, biryani, rasmalai, chicken, samosas , pakoras, the hunger had consumed her so much that she was ready to crash a wedding...
