Nandini turned away from her door after shutting it behind her, only to be shocked at the sight of the person standing beside the elevator of the building "Manik?" Nandini muttered in an unsure voice as she did not expect one bit to see him there, especially post the events of the other night.
"What in hell's name are you doing here? And how long have you been out here?" Nandini questioned in a low tone as she did not want to alert her family inside about what was going on here, outside. She took longer strides to reach him and he straightened himself from his earlier posture of leaning on the wall with one foot up on it.
"I'm here since the last half hour. I wouldn't get to see you for 2 to 3 weeks and I could not just let you go without clarifying things." Manik answered sincerely.
