Aaron didn't know what time it was when he woke up. He never knew exactly when he ever woke up.

He seemed to always wake up in the morning, but he was afraid of waking up in the middle of the afternoon or night.

He got out of bed and started to look for Shu. He knocked on the doors, "Shu!"

He tried to be as quiet as he could, not wanting to wake anyone up. After a bit, Aaron made his way downstairs with his lack of vision.

He was about to call out her name again when he heard, "Aaron?"

"Shu?"

"Yeah. What are you doing here so early?" Aphmau asked.

"What time is it?"

"It's like 6 a.m., right now."

Aaron thought it was weird that he woke up this early in the morning. At least it was better than waking up at one a.m.

"Well, I'd like to know what you're doing here so early." Aaron said.

"I'm getting ready for work." She said. (The maid cafe is still there. Let's not pretend it doesn't exist -_-). "So, why are you awake?"

"Oh, I just couldn't sleep. But I want to talk to you."

"Yeah, sure. Sit down." He sat down on the couch, "So, what did you want to talk about?"

Aaron stayed silent for a moment before saying, "Was I mean to you in high school?"

Aphmau's eyes went wide, "What?"

"I don't know if this is a memory, but I have a feeling that I was mean to you in high school."

Aphmau didn't know what to say. On one hand, it was another thing Aaron remembered. But on the other hand, it was a memory that both her and Aaron don't like very much.

But, if it would help Aaron, then it was a bridge she had to cross.

Reluctantly.

"Um... y-yeah, you... were." She said.

"Really?" Aaron said.

"Mhm."

Aaron sighed, burying his face in his hands, "Why did I freakin' do that?"

"Hey, in your defense, I wasn't very nice to you either."

He turned to her and asked, "What do you mean?"

"We didn't know each other. I didn't know you were F.C., and you didn't know I was Shu. You were going through some things at the time, so you lashed out."

Aaron stayed silent for a minute before saying, "When did we start to get along?"

Now this was something Aphmau was happy to talk about.

"When I first found out that you were F.C., I didn't want to believe it at first. But you proved it was you. One thing led to another, and we agreed to start over."

Aphmau noticed a small smile on Aaron's face. He must like the sound of this memory too.

The smile quickly disappeared, "Hey, Shu."

Aphmau's face fell. Is he ok? "Yeah?"

"I'm sorry."

Aphmau's brows furrowed together. What is he talking about? "About what?"

"About the way I treated you in high school. I don't know what I did or said, but I'm sorry. If I'd known who you were, I would've never treated you like that."

Aphmau didn't know whether to hug him or laugh. At this point, Aaron apologized for his behavior twice. While she was touched by his regret, she didn't hold any grudge against him. And he knew that once.

"I told you, I wasn't any better than you." She said, laughing.

When Aaron didn't reply, she quickly said, "But, it's ok. I forgave you a while ago anyway."

She saw Aaron's shoulder's relax. This must've been something that would've eaten away at him if she didn't say anything.

"So, what exactly did we do to each other?" Aaron asked with a chuckle.

Aphmau looked at Aaron's face to see him smiling. Glad to see he didn't feel guilty anymore.

"Well, we didn't really do anything so bad to each other. Just a bunch of cheap and petty insults." She smiled, "We even competed on sports day."

They both laughed at the memory. It always felt good to see Aaron smile, especially now that he needed it most.

"But, anyway, we were in high school. It doesn't matter anymore."

Aaron smiled, "Yeah. I guess it doesn't. But, thanks for telling me."

"Any time."

Aphmau looked at the clock. She had to get to the cafe soon, "Hey, I need to go to work. I'll be back later tonight." She said.

"Yeah. I'll see you later, Shu."

"Bye."

Aphmau kept smiling as she made her way to the cafe.

Everytime she helped Aaron with a memory, she felt like he was one step closer to remembering her as Aphmau.
