OC x Rengoku Kyojuro [REMAKE]- "Thankful for you "

Chapter 11.

Months pass by as my recovery with Kyojuro passed sooner than ever. As days went by both me and him got closer, but I also met some of the other Hashiras. All of them were special in their own way, from what I could tell.

Kyojuro had finished recovering sooner than me and had to leave to train.
"Chō. Good luck! Work hard for me, okay?"
He holds my hands and smiles gently. I nod my head, my eyes get teary and I look down in embarrassment.

"Don't miss me too much. We'll meet again soon."
He hugs me and waves as he leaves. I wipe the tears from the corners of my eyes and get up from my bed. My spine was doing way better but my abdomen was still doing horrible. I walked up to the window and leaned on the ledge. I watched as Kyojuro left the estate. I sigh and start feeling those strange butterflies in my stomach again. I couldn't control it and it angered me. I close my eyes and look away from the window. I walk around the room, pacing slowly. I look down at my ribbon and feel my heart warming up.
"Agh. Stop thinking about him! This is inappropriate!"

I stomp my foot and fall down on my bed. It's only been a few minutes and I already feel alone. I groan as I cover my face with my palms and sit there.
"I can't wait for this to end."
Soon the door opens and Shinobu comes in happily marching to my bed.
"Moshi-Moshi! Chō I have great news!"
She skips over to me holding a uniform in her hands.
"Hm?"
I get up and look at her.
"Here you go. You're officially admitted into the Demon Slayer Corps!"
She smiles warmly and hands me the uniform. I hesitantly reach for it and stop.
"Really?"
I pull my hand back and Shinobu nods.
"Rengoku talked to Master and he agreed to let you in."

I look at her and back down at the uniform. I take it from her hands and unfold it. I look at it and sigh.
"Why is the skirt so short?"
"It might be just you."
"Right."
I put the skirt in front of me, holding it up. It was totally too short.
"Guess they got my measurements wrong."
"Do you want me to replace it?"
"No, it's fine."
I put the uniform on the bed and look at Shinobu.
"It's almost time. Your recovery will come to an end in 2 weeks. You can do this!~"
She cheers me on as she bumps my shoulder. I give her a wide smile and bow.
"Thank you so much for taking care of me."
"Ah! So formal! Don't worry about it, it's my duty after all."
She smiles warmly.
"It was still an honor to meet you."
"You're too nice!"
She waves her arm around and scratches the back of her neck.
"Chō, stay safe. Enjoy your time in the Demon Slaying Corps."

She bows and leaves the room. I look down at the uniform and sit on the bed next to it. I furrow my eyebrows and pick it up. I hold it in mid-air and stare at it.
"I should try this on."
After struggling to put the uniform on with all the bandages I had on I looked in the mirror. It looked really bland. Too bland. I twirl around and play with the skirt.
"Hm."
I look around and grab my small knife from the desk and make a cut through the skirt on the left side. It revealed my thigh more.
"Maybe it'll distract the demons."
I move up to my chest area and turn around. I look back and stare at the top uniform. It was tight around my shoulders and breasts. I unbutton 2 buttons from the middle and stare at myself in the mirror.
"Still bland."
I look in the closet and find a floral print haori. It looked like my old one. I tilt my head confused and smell it. It smelt like it was new. I put it on and go back to look in the mirror.
"Not bad."
I make a twirl and puff my chest.
"Looks okay."

I go over and change back into my gown. I put the uniform and haori in the closet and wait for the moment of truth when I'll get to wear them. I close the door to the closet.
As the days went by and as I started to feel like myself again, I finally get the thumbs up from Shinobu. I was finally in a better condition for me to train.
"Alright Chō, follow me."
Shinobu takes me with her to the Hashira meeting. I was nervous.
