Prince Zenigata rode with his superior in the royal carriage. He looked out the window out onto the countryside.

The Cagliostro countryside.

A Kingdom not his own, but one Zenigata was very familiar with. Ever since Zenigata could remember, he had been betrothed to the Prince of the Kingdom of Cagliostro. Long ago, his father had agreed with the King of Cagliostro that his grandson and Zenigata would wed to unite their kingdoms.

And even when Zenigata's father passed, he was sent with a Superior to Cagliostro every Summer.
Every Summer he was required to make the journey across the great sea to the Foriegn Kingdom, along the countryside, and through the villages. All the way to the castle of his fiancé.

His stupid, arrogant, fiancé.
Zenigata had known Prince Lupin the III since they were five. The minute they had met eyes...

(FLASHBACK)

Zenigata hid behind his father's legs. He looked across the way, and saw the Prince of Cagliostro standing next to his Grandfather the King.
Prince Lupin the III was a really cute boy. Zenigata was flustered.

Suddenly, Zenigata's father pushed him forward.
"Go say hello," his father whispered.
"Ok father," Zenigata whispered back.

Zenigata walked to the middle of the clearing.
King Lupin the 1st was pushing his son forward as well, but was having a bit more trouble. Prince Lupin the III looked...annoyed? Did he not want to meet Prince Zenigata?

Finally, Prince Lupin III approached Zenigata.
"Hello," Zenigata said shyly.
"Hey." Lupin said grumpily. "Nice to meet you."
Zenigata bowed to show respect, but when he looked up, the Prince was running back to his Grandfather! How rude!
However, Lupin was shoved back to Zenigata. He took Zeniagata's hand and slowly brought it too his lips. Lupin was shaking, and he gave it a peck. After words he gagged.
What the heck?!

(END FLASHBACK)

The minute they had met eyes, it had been hate at first sight. Prince Lupin was so arrogant! Always flirting with other girls, as if he didn't know he was engaged! To Zenigatat! Did Zenigata not matter?!

"Your majesty," his suitor spoke up. "You have come of age."
"Yeah, what of it?" Zenigata looked away.
"This will most likely be the visit you finally wed the Third Prince."
"Shit."
"Your majesty, you've known eachother since childhood! Certainly there must be a spark-"
"Yeah, a flame~" Zenigata said sarcastically. "A destructive flame that's going to burn BOTH kingdoms!"

...

The carriage arrived at the castle courtyard and slowed to a Halt.
The Castle of Cagliostro was a marvelous one. Thousands of rooms, one of the biggest ballrooms Zenigata had ever seen, and big beautiful gardens.
The courtyard alone was incredible. It had a cobblestone path, that had detailed designs in different shades of stone. The driveway alone must've taken years! Beautiful red and blue roses lined the path, the thorns trimmed to perfection.

His Superior hopped out the carriage and wait for the Prince to follow. Zenigata did not follow, did not move.
"Your majesty, are we really going to do this?" The superior sighed.
Zenigata scowled. "I'm not going to marry him."
"Here we go again,"

Zenigata tried to hold onto the carriage seats, but his superior and a servant began to tug on him to get out. This was an annual occurrence every summer. Pulling the Prince against his will to meet with Lupin III.

"Get out!" His superior demanded.
"No!" Zenigata yelled. "I have litter all bruises with his finger prints! I can do better!"

Zenigata's grip slipped, and the staff was able to pull him out and away from the carriage.
