"You know, I think this lava lamp could use some polishing..." Sarah said and looked at me smiling. I ran to her and hugged her so tightly. I screamed a happy scream and shut the door. "But, how did you... How could..." She cut me off. "Eric came and picked me up. We leave Monday. But you can come to take me back if you want, your dad said." She said, smiling. "Of course!" "Now get dressed girl!" She said, walking out. How did they pull this off?
After I got dressed I went to my dad and hugged him. "Thank you." I muttered with my head pretty much pushed in his stomach. "Eric helped." "I know." I heard something downstairs and noticed not everyone was up here. I went down to find a karaoke machine along with a D.J. and a fog machine. Some people were dancing and some were sitting. Some were talking in groups. I knew all of the people, just not very well.
Violet and Sarah came to me holding a cake in a hand. "Happy seventeenth birthday, Sam!" They squealed. I blew out the lit candles and said,"So you've met!" "Yep! Violet said that you should be the one telling me how you guys met, so I'm still wondering." Sarah said looking annoyed.
"Well, we were staying in a hotel a and I had just gotten out of the shower and just got dressed when I heard something in the hall. I walked out to find Collin," I pointed at Collin, "punching Violets face. I yelled,'Hey! Let go of her!' and Collin was all like,'Yeah? What are you gonna do about it?' and I said,'This.' and the I grabbed his hands, put them behind his back, punched him in the gut, and told Violet to go in my room. That's pretty much it." I told her. "Wow. Cool." She said, looking amazed.
I heard my name upstairs. "Come on everybody! Let's go upstairs!" I heard Violet yell. We all ran upstairs. Dad told me to come here again and he blindfolded me. I heard Sarah take my arms and lead me. "Step down. Step down. Step down. Step down. Step down." She then stopped me and in unison everyone yelled,"One! Two! Three! Take off that blindfold!" I gasped as I looked at what was in front of me.
I saw a gray, ford pick-up with a red bow on top. "I, I, is that m, m, mine?" I managed to ask. "All yours." Sarah said, handing me the keys. "Oh. My. Gosh!" I yelled, dancing around. In the back of the pick-up I saw a German Shepherd. "Penny?" I questioned. "Nope! That'd be Penny's brother, Which is also yours." Mom said with a smile plastered on her face.
I went up to the boy. "Hmmm... We'll call you..." "Jack?!" Someone from the party yelled. "Save?!" Someone else yelled. "No... Delgado?" I asked the dog. His head perked up and he licked me, just as Penny had done. "Delgado!" I yelled to the crowd. "I'll help you out a bit on the food since there's two." Dad reassured me.
I smiled and went to the drivers side of the truck. "Sarah! Violet! Eric! Allen! Ride in the truck! In the way back... Collin! Saige! McKayla! Zach! Mason! And Casey! In the way back with Delgado. Mom and Dad in the way back also!" I yelled directing everyone where to go. "People that aren't coming, don't burn the house down!" I yelled and got in my brand- new truck.
When we got back we had cake and ice- cream and most left around nine. Allen and Violet stayed along with Saige, McKayla, Collin, and Mason. Sarah stayed, obviously. We talked for a while and then everyone else left. Sarah and I said goodnight to Eric, Mom, and Dad. Mom was leaving tomorrow. Sarah and I went to sleep around four, hoping that we could make tomorrow last super long.
