Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all sitting in the common room sense it was a Saturday and had no classes, the fireplace was lit and the warmth that came out of it was to die for. Harry seemed in such a good mood after coming to the common room last night he was the first to wake he finished all his homework bright and early like he had plans to leave for the rest of the weekend but he just sat there on the velvet red couch looking at the fire like it was almost hypnotizing him finally Hermione spoke up "Harry, why do you look like you've been walking on clouds all your life"
"I've met someone, someone who makes me happy and not just because I'm the chosen one but because they actually like me for me" Harry said trying not to grin from ear to ear. "Who is she, or he" Ron asked awkwardly "Y/N of course"
Both Hermione and Ron looked at each other then back at Harry to make sure their ears were working all right "Bloody hell I mean I understand why you're into her she's hot mate" "Ronald will you shut up already. Wait, she liked you, like she actually said it Harry." Hermione said in a rush to get all her words out in time almost like she was still piecing them together in her head as she said them. "I'm gonna try not to be to offended at that, I mean if I do say so myself I'm not that bad looking" Harry said in a modest tone.
"No no Harry it's not that, well Mattheo he was there for her every year, they were the greatest love story, Y/N's heart beat for him all those years, for Mattheo Riddle not Harry Potter. It never occurred to me or anyone that she would ever want to be with anyone else, he was perfect for her. Mattheo didn't like many people but that man turned her world and made her the person she is today." "Hermione I think I get it. I will never compare to him. You didn't have to say it."
"Come on Harry I didn't mean it like that, I just mean I thought she would maybe take a little more time for herself before moving on. She's just been with him for so long. Please be careful with her she's already so broken" After what Hermione said it made Harry wonder, wonder if Y/N was really over Mattheo or if he was just a rebound and he was gonna be the one hurt in the end. Harry had fought many battles over the years but Y/N's heart just might be the hardest to win, almost impossible.
