It was a warm Saturday morning and my best friend Natalie had stayed over mine last night. As I woke up I looked to my left to see Natalie still fast asleep in dream land. Instead of letting her continue with whatever she might have been dreaming, I jumped on her screaming, “WAKE UP! NATALIE, WAKE UP! TODAY’S THE DAY! ONLY 6 MORE HOURS UNTIL ONE DIRECTION!”
“Eurgh, Diana it’s 8 in the morning, don’t be so loud!” she moaned, rubbing her eyes and squinting at the bright light.
I didn’t care. Today was the day I would see my future husband. Okay, well maybe he wasn’t going to be my future husband. And maybe it was only on stage. But who cares? I had front row seats, and I was still going to see my 5 idols performing perfectly for 2 whole hours. I loved each of the boys to pieces. I had supported them since X Factor. But there was just something about Zayn that got me hooked from the beginning. In fact, I had supported Zayn since his solo audition. Just something about how his chocolatley brown eyes glistened in the light. And his smile that could light up a whole room made me feel all light and fuzzy. To me he was the real definition of perfect. And to think, that in 6 hours time I would be only a few meters away from him, it sent butterflies through my whole stomach.
“So, we’ll go downstairs and have breakfast. Come back up get washed and ready, and get the train to London!” I beamed, pulling myself from Natalie’s bed and wrapping myself in my cotton dressing gown.
“Jesus Christ, Diana. You’re acting like this is some sort of mission that can’t go wrong!”
“Are you not excited Natalie?! I mean, we are going to be seeing the boys in less than 6 hours. 6 HOURS NATALIE!”
“Of course I’m excited, but I’ve just woke up. Give me at least half an hour before you start ramming orders down my throat,” she laughed, eventually pulling herself from her bed.

Jumping off of the train on to the platform, we arrived at Waterloo Station.
“3 more hours!” I grinned, bobbing my face in Natalie’s.
“AHH I KNOW!” she screamed, attracting attention from a few passer bys. Her mood had defiantly peaked up since first thing this morning, and she was just as excited as me.
We made our way to the 02 Arena, and as we finally got there, big billboards with One Direction stood in the background. It was full with directioners who were just as excited as us - screaming whenever One Direction re appeared on the Billboards. The doors opened at 1pm, so we started to make our way to queue up. Finally, we were in our seats and it was 2pm. Our seats were front row, dead on. The best view you could get in the whole arena. For the next hour the supporting acts came on and off and then suddenly… everything went black. Then 5 spotlights shot on to the stage. Gradually, 5 slim, dark figures began to rise from the ground. It was them. It was One Direction. My heart was pounding like a drum within my chest. The butterflies in my stomach had become a lot stronger. I quickly glanced at Natalie and we both grinned at one and other, instantly looking back to the stage.
The music for “What Makes you Beautiful” began to pour through the speakers, blasting its way through the whole of the arena. Above all the screaming, chanting and shouting, Liam began his beautiful solo.
“You’re insecure, don’t know what for, You’re turning heads when you walk through the door, Don’t need make up, To cover up, Being the way that you are is enough.”
Harry sung his way through his lines, and then they all smashed it through the first chorus. It was perfect. It was everything I had imagined it would be like and more. This was defiantly the way to open up a concert. Then the part I had been waiting for since the music began.
