The Meet

The day we met

"We get to party all night, Do you even realize what you both are missing?!" 

I love parties, it just relaxes me, the music, the dance, the food! However,  one of my best friend Serena is the exact opposite of me, she hates parties, complete introvert; you know what I mean.

 On the other hand, my other best friend Regina who can survive a party and is an ambivert was ready to come with me to the party until, she remembered that she had to submit an essay which was due tomorrow, Yeah, she easily forgets her assignments, if it wasn't for me to keep a reminder in her google calendar!

"Adira, do you even know how much is there to study when you take course in medicine? Chapters to learn, Notes to keep, I mean see my desk, it is full of assignment papers and I cannot step out of my room until I complete it!" 
"Yes Adira, I have a frickin 100 words essay to complete and I have not one luck of writing a 10 letter sentence!"
Btw, I am Adira
"Guys, I really feel bad you both are not coming, but I guess I am okay as you both are doing something really important"
"We both are really sorry, but I am a 100 percent sure that you can enjoy the party wholly, I mean you, your personality, honey you can make friends in a second!" Serena commented while ruffling through the pages of the textbook.
 I scoffed hearing her comment, but I should agree it was somewhat true.
When I was about to leave Regi, who had lost hope in writing her essay shouted at me "Do not indulge yourself in any kind of sexual intercourse you dumbshit."

Yeah, she had to say that, I am horny at almost every party, and I even knocked up a couple of guys I met at a party but even though I did have a temporary 'relationship' with some of them, No one lasted long enough. I have been out of the dating circle for almost 2 years now, and I am at the stage of my life where I am looking for something permanent. I cannot get my heart broken, again.

"I will not Regi, you will not have to look at a pregnant Adi!" I laughed heartily before I left the apartment. 

I did not want to go to my friends party for which I was invited to because I just didn't want to go to her house without my gals! But, I wanted the release of stress, so instead I stepped in a club.
I really liked the ambience the club had, everyone grooving to the music, friends meeting up, people talking business. I felt I belonged right here! I wanted to have a few drinks before I started to dance, it really sets the mood for me.
That is when I saw Lucas, in flesh and blood! Lucas and I were best friends back in high school! We were inseparable! Though a lot of my friends thought I was dating him,  we weren't. Eventually, we lost our contact after high school as we both chased after our ambitions! It was so unrealistic to see him here.
I walked over to him immediately "Lucy, is that you?!" My eyes were a little wet, looking at my friend with whom I did all the pranks, had all the fun with, sitting right in front of me, I just couldn't believe it!
