Background:
Pollux was adopted by Jackie Tyler's older sister, Andrea Prentice, when she and her fiancé couldn't conceive. He was adopted as a baby after he was found buried in a snow bank.
Pollux was found with an earring and a strange pocket watch that nobody was able to open. He's kept the watch around his neck since he was old enough to know he wouldn't lose it, and wore the earring after he got his ears pierced when he was five. He had begged Jackie for two years before she finally agreed.
Andrea and her fiancé were killed the night before their wedding in a car accident. Jackie took care of Pollux from them on.
It was two years later when Jackie and Pete Tyler had a baby girl named Rose.
Pollux has always been unbelievably smart, even managing to be in college courses secretly when he was in 8th grade. It probably also helped that Jackie was already occupied with little Rose after Pete died in a hit and run, leaving him to sneak out to go to his classes whenever he pleased.
Pollux also took up parkour in order to run off more energy. He always struggled to sleep, and thinking that he can just use more energy in order to get to sleep actually worked. He still didn't need a full nights sleep, only 2-4 hours depending on how much he had done that day. The amount of sleep he needed decreased as he got older as well.
As the years went on, Pollux graduated for college early at the age of 20, while Rose had dropped out of high school for her boyfriend. Said boyfriend was thrown in jail shortly after and Rose broke up with him, she was now dating Mickey Smith. Pollux got a job with Rose at the clothing store before he graduated in order to pay off his remaining tuition, leaving him to have no student loans or any debt.
The store was blown up one night, and within the following week, Rose disappeared off the face of the earth for a year.
Pollux had moved out when he was 18, but when Rose disappeared, he stayed in his old bedroom at the Tyler flat.
Rose has been gone a year, and Jackie was starting to lose hope. Pollux believed that everything would work out in the end but he was starting to think she was killed and that it was all his fault. Everyone around him has died. His parents, even if he doesn't remember them well, his uncle, and now Rose had disappeared and could very well be dead in a ditch somewhere.
Authors note: I don't own Doctor who or any of the characters except Pollux and how he affects the storyline. Yes, I got my inspiration for this story by reading the large amount of Doctor who stories about the Doctor's mate.
I also decided that since Time-lords can change their gender when they regenerate, it would make sense to have the Doctor with a male OC.

As I write this story, I'm watching the episode and writing down what is said and what happens. This means that updates will be whenever I feel like watching Doctor who and when I have the time.
Therefore updates will be slow.
