Chapter 20💫

I walked or more likely dragged myself with Alice. Maybe because of the pregnancy hormones she's in chirpy mood. It doesn't help me either. I keep silent while listening to her. I know that she's doing this for me. But inside I keep repeating the mantra ' i want to be alone'.

*Kile you go ahead. I'll take a short brake.*

She muttered as sit on the side bench.  I was going to tell her that if she's not going then I'm also not going. There's no way I want to continue this walk. I already want to go home and cry in the warmth of my blanket.

*I know what you're going to say. Now shut up and go.*

Killian was also whining for a jog. It's been week since I shifted. So I decided to listen to Alice's words.

*But what about you?*

Since Alice pregnant I can't leave her alone here. What if she need help and no one is beside her.

*Kile I'm pregnant. Not paralysed. I can defend myself.*

*Yeah yeah. I'm. Now shoo *

She dismissed me with a eye roll. I walk towards the jungle. After few steps I looked back to see Alice waving at me with a smile.
Along the way I discarded my clothes and keep it in my eyeshot so that I can take it when I return.

I shifted back and give Killian control. It feels refreshed to be in wolf form. I took a long flip of air before run into the forest.

I don't know how much time passed , now I look around I can only see trees around me. 
When the cool wind hit me , I decided to go back . Alice earlier texted me that she went back and take my time.

I could tell it will be raining soon. I don't mind getting wet but now I need the comfort of my warm bed sheets. I run fast to the pack house.

I stopped in my tracks abruptly when a familiar scent hit me. I listened to the leaves cracking.
