"see you in the dark
all eyes on you, my magician
all eyes on us
you make everyone disappear, and
cut me into pieces
gold cage, hostage to my feelings
back against the wall
trippin, trip- trippin when you're gone"

Iris woke up at 4 AM after passing out at 12. She went to the kitchen to get a glass of water to drink with her pain killers, not expecting anyone to be down there. She was still a little bit drunk, but most of it had worn off into a hangover by now. Iris got a glass down from the cupboard and when she turned around she saw Bucky walking into the kitchen. Iris jumped, almost dropping the glass, "When did you get here?" She was whisper-yelling.

"Just now. What are you doing?" Bucky said.

"I'm getting some water so I can take some Advil. What are you doing in here?"

"I woke up and I decided it's not worth it to go back to sleep."

"Yeah but why are you in the kitchen?"

"I'm getting something to eat. What's with all the questions?"

"I could ask the same thing." Iris said, leaning back on the counter and taking her medicine.

"What was the deal with Wanda earlier?"

"Huh?" Iris asked.

"Did you seriously forget already?"

"In my defense, I was really drunk."

Bucky laughed and came over to where she was, "So you don't remember anything about you just making out with her out of nowhere?"

Iris thought for a second, "Ohhhhh, yeah, that. That was funny. You shoulda seen the look on your face."

"That's why you did it?" Bucky asked, smiling.

"Well, yeah. I didn't want to deal with you, Peter, and Pietro."

"You sure do have a lot of guys hot on your trail."

Iris laughed, "Not my fault."

Bucky laughed and stayed quiet for a minute, "Oh yeah, you might wanna ask Sam about a couple of the videos on his phone."

"What do you mean?"

"All I'm saying is that you got really drunk."

Iris laughed and covered her face with her hands, "Was it bad?"

Bucky laughed too, "Yeah... it was pretty bad. Nat and Wanda were basically dragging you upstairs by the end of the night."

"God," Iris laughed and covered her face again, "That is so embarrassing."

Bucky shrugged, "It was cute."

Iris was smiling and looked down at the ground, "It's good to know that at least one person enjoyed my antics."

Neither of them said anything for a few seconds when Bucky looked like he finally got the courage to ask her something, "Remember when I told you that I remembered some stuff?"

This caught Iris' attention, "Yeah. Why?"

"I thought you should know that it didn't really go anywhere. I thought long and hard but nothing ever came."

Iris furrowed her eyebrows, "I'm sorry. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. Just thought you should know." Bucky said, getting closer to her.
