Chapter 3
You were sitting in a dark room waiting silently not knowing what was going on. you felt scared and had been crying. Suddenly the door shot open you looked up to see a familiar man standing there "well well, isn't this a lovely picture" he said coldly, your eyes started tearing up as you started to cry. You looked down at the ground not wanting to look at him but he grabbed your chin forcing you to make direct eye contact "now that there is no longer someone here to protect you darling" he began with a smirk "we can of course do whatever we please with you" the man whispered getting scarier with each word, before You could even answer he pulled out a wand "Now why don't you tell me what what I want to
Know" He said calmly making you cry harder, "I don't know anything!" You screamed in Defence "well then my sweet, maybe a little Cruciatus curse will change your mind hmm?" you couldn't even lift your head back up to look at him before he called "CRUCIO"

I shot awake panting, my face was sticky from tears and I was shaking uncontrollably. I started crying remembering the dream I had just had, I tried to remind myself that it was just a dream or maybe a memory.. but it was no use I looked over to my clock to see that it was about 5am which of course was far to early, I knew that I wasn't going to get back to sleep so I decided to go for a walk and try to get my mind off of things. quietly I got up (not wanting to wake my friends) pulled my robes on and got ready for the day I then slipped out of my dorm and ran down the stairs to my common room, the common room was dark and completely deserted "lumos" I quietly whispered and my wand started shining a bright light from the tip so I could see where I was going.

As I was walking around the halls I got a couple of complaints from the paintings about the light so I turned it off hoping that I wouldn't trip over my own feet. I stepped outside and appreciated the sunrise, all the colors combining together in the sky made me happy like nothing in the world could ruin this moment.

But of course I was wrong,
"Up a little early aren't we"
came a familiar cold voice from behind me "Sorry Professor, I couldn't sleep" I replied quietly not bothering to look at him "I would suggest Miss Forbes that you go back to your dorm room" I finally turned around to see him leaning on the side of the wall staring at me "I don't want to go back to my dorm" I snapped back instantly regretting it "well then. Do you care to tell me why you are up so early" he said sounding harsh I was shocked that he didn't yell at me or force me back to my dorm but I decided to skip past it "I had a bad dream and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep anymore so I figured I'd go for a walk to help calm myself" i answered honestly, slowly feeling hot tears sting at my eyes as I remembered the dream I had. Taking a shaky breath I tried to contain myself, I didn't want snape to think I was this weak. "well if you'll be going for a walk I feel that it is my Responsibility as your teacher to accompany you. I wouldn't want you getting up to something" he slowly started walking towards me and I could feel a smirk starting to tug at my lips at the thought "that's fine" I stated trying to sound calm

We've been walking for a while in an awkward silence, I wanted to ask him about yesterday and what he knew or what he's seen in my head but I wasn't sure how to fraise it "would you like to talk about your dream Miss Forbes" his cold voice spoke next to me interrupting my thoughts once again "No, thank you professor." I answered shortly really hoping he'd let it go considering it would reveal something no one can nor should ever know about me. "Very well then" he answered sounding a little annoyed at my response.

We walked in silence for a while, "so, what does your Amortentia smell like Professor?" I said boldly Deciding to break the silence between the two of us, he gave me a cold look as of telling me to not push it, I raised my eyebrows at him almost demanding an answer "That Miss Forbes is none of your business " he basically spat the words at me so I just I rolled my eyes and decided to stay silent for the rest of the walk.

We walked in silence back to the castle neither of us being able to think of anything else to say "I've got to go prepare my classes now miss Forbes I believe breakfast should be on Now I trust that you will go straight to the Great Hall" I nodded "thanks Professor I'll see you later" I started to walk off but I got stopped by a strong hand on my shoulder "detention tonight after Umbridge's detention for being out of bed" I nodded and walked off feeling annoyed about the fact that I just got reminded of my detention with Umbridge, at least I'll be able to ask Snape in piece tonight about weather knows about my feelings for him or not I thought to myself as I made my way to the great hall for breakfast.
