The ceiling was really not all that interesting.
It was a pattern, triangle rectangle, triangle rectagle, and every now and then whoever it was that painted it even threw in a square or two. I was counting the pattern in my head, trying to figure it out, when I heard the water turn off.
I jumped up from the King bed to my feet. "Damn Liam you were in there fo-"
My voice trailed off as my eyes landed on him.
He was wearing nothing but a white towel that was tied around his waist. My eyes started at his feet, slowly making their way up. Just above the towel I could see his waist and the bones that were planted there. My eyes lingered upward to his stomach, taking in the clear six pack and then to his arms, which looked a lot more muscular bare than in a jacket like I was used to seeing them. Up to his chest, which was ripped and only slightly hairy, and then his neck. Last but certantly not least my journey ended at his face, with those brown eyes of his, wet short hair, and a smirk dancing on his pink lips.
I'd never realized how fit this boy was.
"Enjoying the view?" he asked, chuckling.
I shook my head, sending my hair flying everywhere. "No. I wasn't-"
"Sure you weren't Karly. Anyway, shower's all yours if you want it."
I hated myself for it, but my cheeks started to get hot with a dark red blush. Some girls look attractive when they blush, cute even, but not me. No no no I look like I ran just ran ten miles and hadn't trained for it at all. I ducked my head, letting my hair provide a curtain between me and the boy with brown eyes standing there in nothing but a towel and walked to the bathroom.
I shut the door, leaning against it and breathing somewhat heavily. Did he have to have such an attractive body?
I sighed at myself and turned the shower on, begining to strip out of my clothing. As I waited for the water to finish heating up I found myself looking in the mirror and finding a girl I didn't quite recognize.
She had long dark blonde hair that ended just at the end of her ribs. Dull blue eyes that had smeared masacra in them and pale cheeks. Full lips that were bloodless and cracked. But none of that was what surprised me. Yeah, the hair was little different and already I could see my aubern roots fighting the blonde back for room on my head, but it was the glow.
There was something in my cheeks that was glowing.
It wasn't the blush, but something else. It was barley there, but was there for sure. I hadn't seen myself looking that in...
In a year.
It was happiness.
At first this thought scared me. Hapiness? What the hell was I happy? I couldn't be happy. I didn't deserve to be happy. Cody was happy until I came and ruined everything. So what the fuck was making me happy?
What do you think idiot? I asked myself. Maybe it's that half-naked brown eyed surprisingly very sexy boy standing outside the door waiting for you to get out of the shower that you haven't taken yet.
Liam. Was it possible that a boy could make me happy?
Okay, I reaaaallly needed to stop being so strange with these thoughts of mine. I got in the shower and washed my hair and body, then stepped out into the same clothes I'd be in before. I opened the door to see Liam on the bed, watching some TV show.
He hopped off when he saw me. His eyes glanced to the bed, then to me, then back to the bed. "I'll um, I'll sleep on the floor-" he started but I shook my head.
"It's a King bed. We can just share."
He raised one eyebrow. "Are you sure?"
"Totally. I use to share beds with guys all the time."
A weird sound came out of Liam's mouth.
"No, no, no that's not what I meant! I mean, yeah, it was what I meant but like, no like that. I didn't have-I mean I'm not-I-I'm a virgin! Okay? When I said share beds I just meant like whith my boy friends. Not like boyfriends but boy friends. Like friends that are guys. Cuz I used to be really close to these three guys Derek and Brandon and C-"
Liam's laugh cut me off. "I get it, Kar. It's okay." He walked over to turn the lights off as I climbed into the bed. The lights flickered off and suddenly I was in the darkness.
I couldn't see him, but I heard him shuffling and he struggled to make his way over to the bed. He climbed in slowly, ruffling the sheets, and crawled under the covers. We laid there for a second, both of us on our backs. I was very aware of his and my breathing, fast and loud.
"This is kind of awkward," Liam said, which somehow just managed to make the situation even more awkward.
"Yeah," I agreed.
Liam sighed loudly. "That didn't help."
"No, not at all."
I really was used to being in bed with guys. But that was always Derek, Brandon, or Cody. And there was never anything awkward about it. We'd never done anything all. Well, except once...
I was tired of it being like this. It was Liam, I didn't like him, he didn't like me, so what was there to feel awkward about anyway? I turned on my side, facing him, closer than needed. "It's fine," I said. "Don't worry about it."
And with that I closed my eyes.
So it's short, but that's two updates in one day! Ahhhhh!!! Both of them were short, but still! TWO! So Liam and Karly are starting to get a little closer.
And Karly was happy. (:
Finished my science paper and experiment! WOOOOO!!!!!
Peace out!
