She took my hand, and I promised her the world
we didnt make it out of our houses
She held onto me, and I let her
we had to let go
She told me one time that she could get lost in my eyes, and I told her I would let her
but then she found the exit
She made us into a fairytale, and I waited for the happy ending
we never got it
She let her name be so easy to roll of my tongue
it became the one thing I would choke up when trying to speak
It was a mutual ending, I think we both can agree on that
but not a mutual pain
