He paused the recording after hearing some stirring outside his office. Once it stopped, he scooted his chair back, placed his hand on a scanner, and closed the door.
"Anyway, I guess the best way to tell this story is to go back to the beginning."
"Our first hint of bigger things came a month after the C.O.R War, though this is only with the benefit of hindsight. While Lylat already had a government and the Eclipse were able to form theirs in the Bikar system without incident, the same could not be said for the Philat system."
"Despite the formation of the Philat Congregation, there were many factions that rejected it's rule and wished to impose their own ideology over the system. This led to what is now being called the Age of Unrest."
"Of all the insurgents, the ones that eventually rose to prominence and would cause so much trouble for the Trinity Council down the line were a group that came to be known as the Philat Liberators. Funny thing is, they were pawns in somebody else's game."
The man shook his head.
"That's neither here nor there. Whats done is done."
"Back to my point, this is the story of how the PL began it's rise, and the role a woman from a far away galaxy unwittingly played in it."
He looked down, brought his hands together, and took a breath as memories came to the surface.
"This is the story of when Aurra Sing first brought her violent brand of bounty hunting to Philat."
