PROLOGUE

I yawned. Pipikit na sana ako kaso nakarinig ako ng ingay sa loob ng section na nasa harapan ko, they can't see me from inside because everytime na pumapasok ang teacher nila na si Mr. Santos ay close ang big curtains, because Mr. Santos preferred his students to listen to him, only him.

"Yesss!"

"Wohoo! We're dismissed for good!"

Matagal na akong naghihintay dito sa labas ng college-C kahit bored na bored ako pero alam kong magiging worth it ang lahat kapag nakita ko na naman siya.

I know I sound crazy, I am a woman who looks yucky but I prefer my skin being tanned, while my siblings has their natural skin, actually my mom and dad both are mestiza and mestizo and my mom gave birth to me as a mestiza but me, I prefer having a tanned skin that's why they always call me pangit and ampon without them knowing what's the reason behind that.

Hindi nila alam ang paghihirap ko para makuha ko itong pagka-tanned skin ko na 'to, they never understood why I always prefer being a nerd.

"Yuhoo! Thank you sir!" Sigaw ng mga estudyante sa loob ng section C.

Maya-maya'y bumukas ang pinto ng classroom at lumabas doon ang naka-unipormang lalaking professor.

The professor glanced at me from head toe before leaving. He's always been like that everytime he sees me. He acts weird na para bang natatakot na ewan.

The fourth year college students shouted and even laugh as they leave their room. Kaya pala ang saya-saya nila dahil natapos na ang klase nila.

Nang makita ako ng unang lumabas na grupo ay tumigil sila saglit sa paglalakad tsaka nakatingin sa akin na parang ang sakit-sakit ko sa mata. 

Napayuko nalang ako dahil sa klase ng pagtingin nila sa akin. May nagbubulong-bulungan pa pero pinipilit kong ipagsawalang-bahala iyon. Hindi din naman sila ang ipinunta ko rito.

"Yayk!"

"Hala, nandito na naman si pangit..."

"Oo nga ano, makapal kilay, hindi rin maputi tapos hindi makinis ang kanyang skin, haler nag-aaral siya dito tapos hindi nagpapa-derma, so ewww!"

"Hayst! Kapag ako iyan, magpapaganda ako."

"Sis, we don't know there are scholarship naman diba malay mo at isa siya doon, mukha naman siyang nasa college na."
