Never knew I would like you

Chapter 1

My name is Althea Jackson, 16 years old and live in Hastings. My life is quite simple, I have lovely parents, my two best friends (we go to school together) and a nice neighbour. My parents both work in the hospital, my mum is a nurse and my dad is a doctor. I don't have any siblings but a cute dog his name is Charlie. The reason why I mentioned my neighbour is because she is like my grandmother,her name is Klarry and i visit her almost every afternoon and spend time together. She is the best.

Monday

It's Monday and like every other Monday, I get ready for school. I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to shower and put my make-up on. After that i get my school uniform out of my closest (yes, we have school uniform but I like it, even when the most would disagree) and put it on. When i got everything for school I go downstairs for breakfast, and as always my parents are already gone. Don't understand me wrong my parents are the best, but they just have a lot of work.

When i got to school the first thing I see, are my two best Friends Maya and Isabelle, who are talking about god knows what. "Hey you two, what are you talking about?" I ask, as I finally reached them. Maya is the first to answer, "Issi told me just now that she is seeing someone! Did you know about it?" "No, you both didn't know about it because it's not official yet and I didn't know how to tell you." clarifies us Isabelle. "It's okay and I understand it you just needed some time." I told her. "So...who is the lucky guy?" Maya asked as always needed the newest tea but I was curious too. "I'm just telling you that it's someone you know." Issi told us and started walking into the school with me and Maya behind her. The whole way to our classroom, Maya bothered Issi who he was but she got nothing. I just walked with them and giggled a bit at how Maya wouldn't stop until she got an answer. Then, when I looked around me, I saw him, he was surrounded by his friends who tried to talk to him but he seems to be uninterested. This certain person is Elijah Clark. He is one of the most popular guys in school, so of course I never really talked to him but I think I can do pretty good without it. I mean look at him he is good looking and all of that stuff so why should he even talk to me? Because we are in a few classes together? Yeah I don't think so. As soon as I saw him, I turned back to my two friends and we talked a bit more before we headed to our classes. We said our goodbyes because me and Isabelle had History and Maya had to go to Math. We got to class and sat down. Time quickly passed. The next thing I hear is the school bell and I slowly make my way home.

I get home really quick and make myself something to eat and go to my room to change into some other clothes. Some time later around 16.00 i decided to visit Klarry, the last time I saw her was three days ago because i visited my aunt in London. So i get up and make my way to the house next door and ring on the door. After a few seconds the door opens and behind it is Klarry, For her age she is still very much on the move. "Althea, hello my dear it's a nice surprise to finally see you again. How are you doing? Have you already ate something today? Please come inside." Karry said. She always is really fast when she talks and asks a lot, she also looks after me but I don't mind at all." Hello Klarry, of course I'm here I would never forget to visit my favorite neighbour and yes, I already had something to eat. I'm doing really good, thanks. So what have you been up to while I was gone?" I told her. So we had a nice long chat about the weekend." I just saw you have new flowers they are really pretty." I said out of nowhere. Karry smiles a bit and looks over to the flowers then bakc to me and tells me," My nephew visited me over the weekend too and brought me those flowers, I was so happy because it was a long time since he visited me the last time. He and me were really close you know." I just nod and go into the kitchen to get us something to drink because she looks deep in her thoughts. While I made something to drink I thought about what Klarry said about her nephew. I don't think I ever saw him let's not mention I don't even know his name. But I didn't want to bother her with asking now so I just made my way back into the living room and we talked a bit more about life. When it got late I made my way back home and saw that my parents were already at home. They asked me how my day was and I told them everything. After dinner I finally made me ready for bed and went to sleep.
