Birth of a New Heir

England's most eligible bachelor, who is also the future king, Prince William is no longer a single man as he marries long time girlfriend, Catherine better known as Kate Middleton in April of 2004 and they became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The infamous couple is now expecting a baby and England is eager to welcome it's new heir, their future king or queen.

Kate p.o.v

I am now 9 months pregnant, and just patiently waiting when this baby decides he or she wants to enter this side of the world. Currently, I am adding some finishing touches to the nursery while waiting for William to come home from his last RAF duty before taking leave.

"Knock. Knock." I hear a voice I knew very well.

"Wills! You're back!" I wobbled over to hug him.

"I sure am! How are you and the little peanut?" he asked caressing my huge bump.

"Bloated, I want him or her to be out already." I laughed.

"Very well, any day now, love." Wills said kissing the top of my head.

"How about we have dinner? I'm sure my beautiful wife is hungry." he said offering his hand which I gladly took.

After dinner, my stomach started to ache but I whisked it away thinking I just ate too much. We then headed to bed early as we have an official meeting with the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.

The pain in my stomach started to get worst that it woke me up from my sleep. When I was about to move to a more comfortable position, I could feel a gush of water coming out of me. I think my water just broke. It's time.

"Wills, wake up!" I shook mu husband, hard.

"Kate, what's wrong?" he asked sleepily.

"My water broke. It's time. We have to go to the hospital." I told him.

Instantly, he shot up grabbing the hospital bag we packed weeks prior, guided me out the door and before I know, we are on our way to the hospital.

"You are 10cm dilated, Your Highness. It's time to push." Dr. Yoshua, instructed.

"Oh... God...!!" I yelled as I push my baby out.

"You got this darling, just a little more!" William encouraged me.

2 hours of pushing and I finally hear a baby's cry. I relaxed my tired body while the doctors worked on both the baby and me.

"Congratulations, Your Royal Highnesses, you are know parents to a beautiful princess." Maria, the nurse said as she handed me our daughter.

"It's a girl!"'William exclaimed happily, tears of joy starting to form in his eyes.

"Oh Wills, keep it together, come and see your daughter." I laughed.

"Hahaha, I can't believe we made her. I better phone the Queen, she would want to hear the amazing news. I'll phone the Prince of Wales and your parents right after." Will said as he left the room to make phone calls.

Not long after, doctors and nurses also left the room leaving both me and our little princess alone in the room. It started to hit me, a 23 year old commoner, who became England's Duchess, has given birth to the future queen.

"Dad and Camilla will come visit first thing in the morning, and Harry is on his way home from Africa, so he will meet the baby at home." William informed me entering the room.

"Splendid, and Grannie?" I asked.

"Grannie and Grandad will be waiting for us in Kensington for when we come home from the hospital. We will also discuss the name of the little peanut." Wills continued.

"Alright, do you want to hold her?" I offered him.

"Of course, dear. You take a rest, you need all the energy for tomorrow. It is tradition for us to come out with the baby to show the world." he said dimming the hospital lights as I drifted off to sleep.

"Ah, where is my granddaughter?" Dad, Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales's voice booming of joy picking up the baby from the hospital crib.

"Feeling alright, Kate?" he asked.

"Yes, dad. Amazing." I smiled.

Dad and Camilla spent about half and hour before leaving, heading to an engagement and meeting us in Kensington later on the day.

"Excuse me Your Highnesses, it is time for the Duke and Duchess to introduce the princess to the world." Anna, our head of PR.

After getting ready for a little while, both me and William walked hand in hand with a baby in my arm, heading towards the exit of Lindo Wing, officially introducing their future queen.

Cheers, applauses, camera shutters, balloons, everything was there to celebrate the birth of our child and it is amazing to see that the people are overjoyed. We quickly answered some questions and headed back inside to pack and leave the hospital.

"Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness, Prince Philip." the doormen announced.

I quickly stood up to greet them but was interrupted by the Queen herself.

"Oh, don't bother, dear. It's quite alright. No need for formalities." Grannie smiled.

"Grannie, how are you?" I asked.

"Absolutely happy. We have a future queen in our hands. Great job, Kate." Grannie caressed my cheek.

"Hey, I did some work too!" Wills joked.

"Oh no, dear. You played a small part, Kate deserves all the credit." Grannie responded jokingly.

"Man, since I married you, I am no longer the favorite!" Wills slumped to the sofa laughing.

"Indeed, my boy." Grandad now spoke up.

"Let's discuss her name, shall we?" suggest the Queen.

"Of course." both I and William agreed.

"I think we found the one!" Grannie scribbled baby's name in a piece of paper.

"Isabella Charlotte Elizabeth Diana." Grandad read.

"Beautiful." I said and Wills nodded.

"Have the palace announce it tomorrow, Buckingham and Clarence will too." Grannie gave the order to her Lady in waiting.

Her Royal Highness Princess Isabella Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge at 1:14 am on Monday, 18th of August 2005.
The Royal Family have been informed and are delighted by the news.
