Chapter 5

Temari: GAARA?! AUTHOR PERSON? WHY DID YOU STEAL ALL THE COOKIES?!

Gaara: WE DON'T OWN NARUTOOOO!

"Gaara," Temari said, looking down at Gaara, who was eating his breakfast. Gaara looked up and stabbed his knife into the beef cut. He looked up. "Kurogakure requests troops for the siege against Konohagakure's central command tent number 5. Gaara sighed. He waved his hand.

"Send 20 Calvary. Top A list, and 50 footmen," He said.

Temari looked at him.

"Usually you don't send that many people," She said.

Gaara frowned.

"The council has decided that this battle would be important to Seize the tents. We are also preparing reinforcements as we're going straight to attack the other tents,"

"Really," said a voice.

Temari turned around to see Shikamaru leaning against the wall.

Temari somehow turned red from anger and embarrassment at the same time somehow.

Shikamaru walked over and displayed a map of the county. He stuck a kunai into the sign of "Command Tent number 5" and another Kunai at the place they were attacking from.

"There's a river, the Yin-Yang Waterfall, since the Yin-Yang Waterfall takes dust from the Blood Red River, they could possibly use it against us, although our scouts report no one taking water from it."

Shikamaru took out a black pen and drew a line connecting their attack base and Commander Tent 5.

"If we intend to take this fort, we need to put our group in 2 groups, one attacking, one siege special ops. We break into the walls, and the attacking group files in through the back. They run to intercept. We have our troops then come in, through both sides, and lob the fire bombs, and since People have seperated into 2 groups, and while they are killing each other our assassins kill them from the back, and we grab the supplies, and light the rest on fire."

Gaara frowned.

"So you're saying using Kuro's troops as suicide?"

Shikamaru shook his head.

"That's my part. We use shadow clones and sacrifice some of their siege equipment, and then they're distracted fighting our ARMOURED Shadow Clones, and to make it look like it's the bulk, we have the Susanoo attack with them, to look like it's there main goal, however the Susanoo will be armed with RANGED weapons as to not get hurt in the attack. Then AFTER the front is sieged 20 minutes later we attack on the back, as to draw the remaining troops,"

"What if they have 4 corps and they kill us on the sides?"

"My clan will be there, hiding us in the shadows," Shikamaru said.

Gaara stifled a laugh.

"Your clan does nothing to help us in the war except sulk in the shadows and wait for us to win," Gaara said.

Shikamaru narrowed his eyes.

"Really? Do you not need our help?" He asked.

Gaara sighed.

"Better then nothing," Gaara said.

Shikamaru frowned.

"Your Choice," he said, before turning away and fading into the shadows.

"Really, Gaara?" Temari asked, looking down at him.

Gaara sighed, and shrugged. "We joined their side because we're friends with Kuro, never expected the Shadow Clan to join..."

Temari sighed. "Yeah, Yeah"

"Who's leading the attack?" Gaara asked.

"Hm...me," Temari replied.

Gaara rolled his eyes.

"No, like literally," Temari said.

Gaara laughed.

"GAARA! GAARA!" A messenger shouted, rushing into the room and falling to his knees.

"Reports of a counter strike coming from Konohagakure! They're rushing the river!"

Gaara shot to his feet.
"Where?" Gaara demanded.

"From the frontmost command tent," The messenger replied.

"D*** it!" Gaara shouted.

Sand funneled under his legs and formed a small island. He got onto it.

"Temari, with me, let's go, now." Gaara said. "You, order all of the troops at the garrison to stand fort. Ready the ballista and catapults. I want 100 archers prepped behind shields and sent to the position immediately.

"Yes, sir!" The messenger said.

Gaara and Temari shot through the town, flying up and down, giving Temari a headache.

"You know..." came a voice.

Temari pulled out her hunting knife and turned around.

There was Shikamaru, in all of his smug smirking pineapple head lazy boi glory.

Temari frowned. "What,"

"You should disguise your archers...maybe putting them out in the sunlight for enemy archers to shoot out isn't the BEST idea," Shikamaru said.

Temari glared at him.

"Counter counter strike ideas? Mr. Pineapple?" Gaara shouted, turning around as the sand kept going.

"Yes, indeed," Shikamaru said. "There is a major flaw in their attacking attempt. They wish to rush with calvary with archers on the second wave of calvary, generally using a mass amount of horsepower. If you remember from basic training, horses, like most 4 legged animals, are scared of massive noise, so I would recommend using loud explosions to drive them away. Chances are, they will abort the horses and engage in hand-to-hand combat, so I would say detonating explosives or grenades near the horses, far away, and then fire hidden balista, flaming ballista, preferably, with black flames. Then, fire the archers, while they are stalled in the quicksand pit, and bogs. Then, since we can't see them either, then we should use explosion bases weapons, such as fire bombs from gunpowder and match heads, mixed with oil, water, and a fire lighter, charged with Kura Apple juice, then use fire string (strings of metal that are able to spew fire due to oil) and then light them up to form a barrier."

Gaara frowned. "Fine, we'll take your advice."

During the battle, Temari helped blow the fumes and fire into the enemies faces, slowing them by having a wave of brown, foul, fog. Then, when the cavalry came, they used the sound grenades to worry the horses, and then they threw fire bombs to attempt to kill the horses and obscure vision. They instantly gunned up the ballistas and fired. It worked brilliantly. Or so they thought... Forces had predicted this attack, and then special ANBU forces sneaked into Kuro, and by distracting most people with a huge attack, no one had predicted the attack on the royal palace, as a scheme to capture, interrogate, and imprison Prince Sasuke Uchiha. ANBU forces worked their way using the fog causes by the battle, and using flying tactics and Flying Raijin Kunai, they made there way to Kuro, and sabotaged one of the command tents, where the second part of the ANBU heavy force would come in a shield wall with 3 ballistas, while the first ANBU group, again, went to the capital with anti-Kuro Apple fire bombs, and smoke bombs to obscure there attack. Did it work? Well, suspense so mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
