Chapter 9: Chaos

I looked at my dad, who appeared...strange. My mother walked up to him. She slowly reached her hand out towards him.

Ellie: Henry your....alive?

He simply looked at her with a cold expression. His face was dead of emotion and his one human eye seemed clouded. His arm retracted and reformed into a baton. He spoke in the most monotone and robotic voice possible.

Henry: Must neutralize threat.

Ellie: Henry what are you..what are you doing?

He ignored her completely and thrust towards her. She managed to dodge out if the way, only to be hit on the head and knocked out by the headphones guy. My dad ran towards the Swedish guy, his arm reforming back into a metal fist. He missed and, before I was hit, time appeared to slow down again. There were in front of me, again, some objects.

I looked at each of these items with care. The first was a cup of water. Second was a sword. And the 3rd one was a person jumping. It was labelled as "acrobatics".

I waved at the water. Then, as time resumed, I threw the water forward. The metal fist stopped as the face behind began sparking and short circuting. Then, I felt an immediate pain as the head blew up, causing my face to be impaled with sharp metal peices.

Time stopped and, again the words "Fail" appeared above me. Beneath it was a message: "Water+electricity×lack of logical thinking=something bad.". I swiped at the retry button and this time, chose the sword item. I put the sword up. However, it was extremely heavy so, while I did block, I eneded up falling back.

Now I looked at the jump. I swiped at it, wondering what it could do and instantly felt a rush of adrenalin. I ducked under the robotic arm and ran over to the pod. However, just as I got in, I felt a cloth being placed over my mouth. I looked over and saw the guy with the headphones again. He had a cold look in his eyes and I could see a buzzing earpiece next to him. The world was becoming darker, sounds of reality fading. The last thing I saw was a flash of red and spark of green go past.

Then I blacked out.
