What Just Happened?

Everyone was running on fumes, no one had any swords left. Armin was trying to come up with some insane plan that would surely never work as 13 titans were chasing them and they were much too far from the wall to make it safely there. 

Sasha was having a mental breakdown while she was struggling to keep up with everyone. Levi suddenly dropped and Sasha screamed. Levi was hanging on with one of his hands to a tree branch, where a titan could easily reach. 

He swore loudly. "Go on without me! I'm out of gas and out of time!" No one moved from where they were. "GO!" He yelled as a titan was only 100 yards behind him. Jean was the first one to start going. Sasha followed quickly after along with most of everyone else. 

Armin was trying to pull Mikasa and Eren away while they refused to leave Levi. "Go you god damn brats it's too late for me!" Levi yelled but his voice broke. A 20-footer ran up and grabbed Levi from the tree as he struggled.

 Mikasa was screaming as Armin used all her strength to hold Mikasa back. "It's too late Mikasa!" Armin yelled. The titan had successfully pried Levi from the tree and had his mouth open, about to kill Levi.

 Eren was frozen, his mind not registering what was happening in front of him. How could this be Levi's end? He was the strongest in the whole Scout Regiment, he couldn't be getting killed right in front of him, this must be a nightmare. Levi was merciless, he was the best Captain the Scout Regiment has ever seen, ever. It's impossible that this was happening. 

 But deep down, Eren knew this was all real. He overused his titan form, and he had nothing to fight with and not enough materials to run to complete safety. An overwhelming sense of helplessness and terror fell over him like a wave, he was falling into a state of panic. 

 He saw something move in his peripheral vision, it moved so fast he thought it was a bird. A hooded figure swooped through the trees, Mikasa saw that they had no gear but a sword, it was like they just swung from branch to branch and flew through the forest. Maybe they did. 

The hooded figure almost gracefully slashed the titan's nape of it's neck that held Levi and it promptly fell foreword, it would've crushed Levi if the hooded figure hadn't grabbed Levi and thrown him out of the way as he landed roughly on the ground. Mikasa, Eren, and Armin were fixated on the newcomer and Levi's savior as they almost effortlessly killed the remaining 12 titans, three of which were abnormals. 

The steam from the titan's blood was so thick they couldn't see the hooded figure. Suddenly through the steam, the mysterious person landed next to where Levi laid. This was probably the only time Levi looked scared, ever. 

It was a tall person almost 6 feet tall, their face concealed, their clothes practically soaked in titan blood. Very unexpectedly, they reached a hand out to Levi. 

Levi stared at the hand very uncertainty until moments later, he grabbed it. They helped him up and held tight to his hand as the hooded figure- they jumped up to the high trees with Levi still hanging on. 

The trio was standing there, shocked at what the fuck they just saw. The figure let go of Levi's hand and just stood there for a moment. Eren asked quietly, "What are you?" 

The hooded figure smiled, their eyes still concealed. "Well that's not very good manners to the person who just saved you is it?" They said in a rough, smoky voice. Mikasa was the one to say something after that, "We mean no disrespect, but how-" She seemed at a loss for words as the figure chuckled.

 "I was joking, lighten up." They said. Eren was in disbelief, did they just tell them to lighten up after they almost watched Levi get eaten by a titan? Armin finally spoke in disbelief, "How'd you do that, you don't have any equipment!" 

The figure finally let their hood fall to reveal crimson and intense eyes with onyx hair. They looked very young, especially to be fighting like that. (Like 18-20) Mikasa gasped at the color of their eyes while Armin and Eren were freaking out inside.

 "That's for me to know, and you to not." They said with an unreadable face. They put a bag down that they were carrying, that no one had seen in all the shock and set it in front of the four people who just stared at the bag. 

The person laughed, a dark and rumbling sound and walked backwards off the tree branch and fell backwards. "Wait!" Armin yelled, but they had gone.

 Eren saw a person gliding through the trees away from them, swinging from the trees, until finally they disappeared. Levi had no idea how to react. He didn't even know what the fuck just happened. Mikasa moved foreword to the bag that was left by the bewildering person and carefully opened it. 

She gasped as she saw four sets of gear, gas and everything they'd need to get back to the wall. "What the fuck?" Levi asked.
