I don't resent my youngest brother.
The one who is in my dad's house,
The one that sees my dad everyday,
The one my dad gives all his attention to.
I don't resent my youngest brother.
He can't be more than 3 years old,
He can't have any idea I exist,
He can't know the feelings I get when I think of him.
I don't resent my youngest brother.
After all, it's not his fault our father is the way that he is.
No, I don't resent my youngest brother.
Instead, I hope for him.
I hope he enjoys our father as much as I once did.
I hope he cherishes everyday he gets to spend with him.
I hope he grows up and decides where he wants to go to college with our fathers help.
I hope our father helps him pay for a trip around the world.
I hope he loves our father until the day he dies.
I hope he gets to do everything I never did with him.
I hope my youngest brother is the one that he never leaves,
Because lord knows he's never stuck around long enough to see any one of us succeed.
I don't resent my you gets brother,
I just hope he gets everything I deserved.
