>Rian POV<

“Wake up you bastards!” Jack yelled as he ran into the living room. Avery looked around quickly.

“What time is it?” she demanded jumping up from the sofa.

“11:00 but it’s Saturday you don’t have work,” Jack said laughing hysterically at Avery’s panicked face.

“You’re a dick!” she complained running her fingers through her messy hair. At the moment she was working at a music shop, well during the day anyway she worked at the bar at night.

“What are you doing here Rian?” Jack asked looking at me.

“Alicia and I broke up I had no where to go…” I told him he nodded before pulling me into a tight hug.

“Dude you always have a place here!” Jack said smiling widely. “After all I do enjoy taking in strays!” Jack said starring at Avery.

“Are you calling me a stray asshole?” Avery asked shoving Jack playfully as he pulled her in for a bear hug.

“I’ve never had more fun! So I’m glad you were a stray!” Jack cried gleefully.

“Oh and I do work tonight dumbass!” Avery said thwacking him on his forehead. Jack held his head and pouted at her as I let out a little laugh she was amazing. I wish I could just tell her and get it over with, but what if it ruined everything. We all lounged around the house that day, Jack and Avery playfully fighting and me just watching and laughing. It was a great day I could get used to living with the two of them.

>Avery POV<

I felt bad for Rian him and Alicia were perfect for each other, he was always so happy with her and now he just seemed off. I mean I did occasionally catch him with a real smile on his face but most of the time he just looked well glum. I changed into tights that I placed black shorts over, throwing on a black and white stripped long sleeve that fell off my shoulder and putting on my red beanie that matched the colour of my red vans. I walked back into the living room where the guys stood talking more about the break-up.

“Well I’m off to work, probably best if you don’t wait up,” I said heading towards the door.

“Don’t get into to much trouble,” Jack said laughing madly.

“I wont,” I laughed to.

I walked into work and the place was already pretty packed and it was only 7:00 but that’s Saturday night for you.

“Thank god you’re here, I was dying!” Lucas complained as I walked behind the counter.

“Looks like it,” I said walking over to some impatient looking guys.

“What can I get you fellas?” I asked sweetly.

“Two beers and your number,” the blonde guy said cheekily I went and grabbed the beers.

“Sorry boys you are only getting the beers,” I said as I handed them away the boys awed and then left. It quickly quieted out as people began to move on to the next bar. I looked up at the clock and it was already 11:30.

“I’m going to go home, Rick is coming in half an hour and then you can leave,” Lucas said as he walked by me.

“Alright, have a good night!” I yelled after him. A guy almost immediately sat down.

“What can I get for you?” I asked.

“A beer, please,” the guy said sweetly as he rolled up his sleeves revealing his tattoos. I placed the beer in front of him uncapping it.

“Nice tattoos,” I said blushing slightly as he looked up at me.

“Yours aren’t to bad either,” he said smiling. “I’m Jack by the way.”

“Avery,” I told him he looked up at me for a moment before taking a sip of beer.

“Tell me things about you Avery you seem like an interesting girl,” he smirked at it sent shivers down my spine.

“What kind of things do you want to know?” I asked as a smirk danced across my face. “And I will answer a question for a question.”

“Age?” he asked.

“Almost 23, you?” I asked it right back.

“Almost 24, is this your only job?” he asked interestedly.

“No I work at a music shop during the day.”

“And by night you bartend?” he inquired.

“Yes but shh after this I’m a super hero don’t tell anyone!” I said putting my finger to my lips he let out the most adorable laugh I had ever herd revealing an intoxicating smile, that could almost beat Rian’s, but honestly nothing beat that. “What do you do?”

“I’m in a band, we are vacationing here for a few weeks,” he told me.

“You decided to vacation in Baltimore? Why?” I let out a laugh.

“Why not,” he winked. “What time is your shift over?”

“Midnight…what band are you in?” I was really quite curious now.

“We call ourselves sleeping with sirens…” a smirk rose on his face. “Would you go out with me after your shift?” I felt my whole face flush.

“Yes.”
