Chapter 1

It was cold outside and I was freezing, my wolf ears feeling like they are going to fall off, I decided just to change into my full animal version. My silver gray fur and golden eyes sparkling through the night I just loved how it felt to move around so fast, I ran towards the woods the cold air hitting my face hard I stopped and just stared at the boy that was heading toward me, the look on his face could tell he saw me, as he got within 7ft between me he could tell I wasn't a normal wolf I didn't run I just sat there staring at the gorgeous blonde haired boy, the wind blew and the boys beanie fell off i snickered at his failed attempt to catch it, his blue eyes shot up and started moving closer I wasn't going to bite him I just couldn't, he got close enough to me and just sat there not moving, but he raised his hand and slowly put it close to me I smelled it and nodded. He knew my secret I just couldn't bring myself to talk to him like,this. I ran behind the closest tree and returned to my human self, it felt weird at first, I had trouble standing but the boy came up from behind the tree and helped me up. " I-I don't know why you act like you have no fear of someone who can kill" I said looking down, he lifted my head up and I looked him in the eyes " because I don't believe you would like hurt me, now your freezing so I'm taking you back to my place" he said picking me up bridal style and carrying me back to his place. We walked into the house and he put me on the couch and sat in the floor, " so what's your name" he asked " Asher" I answered looking everywhere but at him "that's a beautiful name, we-", he was cut off by me changing into a wolf, "A-Asher" he stuttered out, I was sniffing him out head to toe he didn't dare move he knew I could always change my mind about not going to bite him but I was just one nosy animal and this boy smelled really good, I could tell he was holding in his breath I walked backward keeping my eyes on him, he slowly stood up and I went back to human and crossed my legs on the couch, "so what's your name" "uhh Luke" "ok" "wanna go get a shower" "sure" I answered casually, he helped me up and led me to the bathroom he showed me how to use the shower, before Luke left I stopped him, " hey Luke you wanna give me a bath" " I don't know we just met I-" " Luke I'm a wolf, it won't bother me" I said my clothes were already on the floor and I had a towel wrapped around me "ok I will" " Luke you don't have to if you don't want" "I want to, it seems fun" "ok then turn around" i said once he turned around I changed it was quick but easy, I soon barked at him, he jumped a little and turned around, he started the bath, i jumped in on purpose just to splash him he playfully glared at me, throughout the whole bath he just kept on rambling about how he is in a band and how he can sing and play guitar that he would love to sing to me. "hey Asher, I would like you to come and meet my friends with me tomorrow" once I heard that I jumped out of the bathtub considering that he was done, I shook off and ran out of the room and hid under his bed I heard him calling my name I just laid there with hundreds of questions running through my mind, what if they don't like me? what if they think I'm weird? what if they want to hurt me? These questions were making me feel weak I never noticed Luke on the bed because when I crawled out he picked me up and put me on the bed, "turn back" he said i nodded as he closed his eyes and opened them again I was laying there with his arms on both sides of me I felt trapped but didn't move. I soon rolled off the bed and ran to the living room, "hey Asher, are you hungry" Luke asked "yes" I said shyly " hey it's ok don't be shy as long as you eat breakfast and tomorrow wear your beanie just to surprise them" Luke said petting my ears that all of sudden went down, I sniffed the air Luke stepped back already used to me and my animal senses " uhhh w-what's wrong I don't hear anything" he said clearly worried "someone is here and they are not going to be very friendly" I said sliding down the counter slowly changing, I never noticed how good I smelled but there's no time for that. I walked around the corner sniffing out the scent of this stranger, up the stairs and into Luke's bedroom, I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a man with a gun....
