"Hasn't Dad seemed weird recently?" Asked Sumire.

Those words have been stuck in Kasumi's mind. She didn't pay them much attention when Sumire first said them, but now as she mulled it over, something didn't feel right.

Something was wrong, but she didn't know what.

But something was off, and Kasumi couldn't stop thinking about what Sumire had said. Was there really something wrong with dad?

And what was with Keiji? He always seemed to be examining the house, looking for something. And he came over often, every day actually. Not to mention the look that her dad gave him. It was hostile.

And the look Keiji gave her dad back? Like he was examine him, looking for something in his soul. It was strange.

And she couldn't stop thinking about it.

"Sweetie, are you ready for your gymnastics lesson?" Asked Shinichi.

Kasumi looked at her dad. Something was off about that smile.

"Yeah! I'm ready!" Smiled Kasumi.

'Why does this feel off?' She wondered.

. . .

"Gah!" Yelled Keiji, rolling out of the way of a shadow swiping at him.

Getting up, he looked at his opponent. The shadow was a Cait Sith, some sort of purple musketeer cat. Keiji brought out his pistol, aiming it at the shadow.

Bang!

The pistol ricocheted in his hand as the bullet shot forward, piercing the shadow. As it hit, the shadow fell down, before fading away, leaving behind some yen.

Walking over, Keiji picked up the yen, pocketing it. Walking out of the room, he entered a hallway. He was still on the first floor, even after a couple of days of exploring.

The floor seemed to be large, and a complete maze as well. Traversing the Palace has become hard. The only way he made sure he didn't check the same place as before was by keeping every door he had checked open.

He stared at the last door in front of him. It was the last one in this hallway, and Keiji was praying to god that this was the one that led to the next floor, as he was tired of opening the doors.

Upon opening the door, he was met with a seemingly empty room. Walking in, he examined the walls around him, looking for something. None of the other rooms had been completely empty before.

A tingle danced on his spine, causing him to turn around. He noticed a vent on the wall, with a strange feeling emitting from it.

So he crawled into it. What did you expect?

He crawled through the vent, shuffling over to the other side. Crawling out of the vent, Keiji landed onto the ground. Looking up, he noticed a vine colored door in front of him.

'A will seed.' Though Keiji, gazing upon the door. Keiji stood up, walking over to the door. Sliding out his katana, he sliced the vines off of the door.

Pushing them open, he walked towards the pedestal in the middle of the room which held the glowing skull. Picketing it up, he pocketed it for later. He would need the other two.

Exiting the room, Keiji crawled back through the vent into the room, before leaving. Keiji sighed. Another bust. At least he got a will seed.

Keiji walked back through the Palace, heading towards the exit. He would have to continue tomorrow. Luckily he didn't have a time limit.
