Fiona

"Hey, this is Adrien's voicemail. I might be busy right now so leave a message at the beep. Beeeeep!"

Ugh. I threw myself back on my bed and groaned loudly into the bedsheets. The one day I am free of rigorous scheduling, no one is available. I heard a knock on my door and I groaned even louder.

"Fiona? Can I come in?"

My assistant Sierra slowly walked in, covering her eyes as she peeked through. I laughed, gesturing her to come in which she happily did. She was holding her clipboard in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. She handed me the cup as she sat down next to me on the bed.

"Hey, Sierra? How was your morning?"

I asked as I took a sip of my coffee. She sighed as she scanned down at her clipboard.

"It's been alright. Hopefully, I can get through this list of items for today quickly so I can take a break."

I feel bad for Sierra sometimes, I know it's her job as our family assistant but she deserves a break once in a while.

"Can I help in any way? I don't think I'm doing much today, I might hang out with some friends later but for now, I'm free."

I smile widely at her as she reluctantly looked back down at her clipboard. I immediately snatched it away as she nodded.

"Okay first on the list. Feeding the fish? Wait, hold on since when did we have fish?"

~~~
"Fiona. You have been such a great help today, you literally don't know how much I appreciate you helping out."
Sierra hugged me from behind as I had straightened the last pile of papers on the table. I looked back around and felt satisfied with all the work we were able to accomplish today.
"Of course Sierra. You do a lot for our family and especially me so it was about time I help you out."
I told her, placing my hand around her wrapped arms.
Ring. Ring. Ring
She smiled, squeezing my shoulders as she slowly exited the office, giving me privacy. I picked up the phone and saw the caller Id.
"Hey, Fi! I saw you called, is everything alright?"
I held the phone against my ear and picked up my belongings as I headed towards my room.
"Yes, everything is alright. I just wanted to know if you wanted to meet up and hang out today?"
I stammered out as I held my phone against my ear with my shoulder. I started to pull out clothes and looking at them as I heard Adrien speak through the phone.
"Ugh, sorry Fi. Father has me doing these extra Chinese lessons on my free days as well."
He apologized as I accidentally sighed loudly through the phone.
"No, it's ok Adrien. I know your busy. Well, thanks for calling me back."
I said, throwing myself on my bed. He didn't respond back, I could hear muffled voices in the background bickering which made me grow more anxious for a response.
