Chapter 48

**Two weeks later**

"You know, we still haven't found a way to see if Vlad likes you." Chrissie said to me as we sat down to eat lunch.

               "You're right, we haven't.  That's because Vlad hasn't done anything to suggest that, since two weeks ago on the day he came back from being at his relative's house." I replied back.

"I guess when you put it that way, then it seems like there is no point in finding out if he hasn't done anything." Chrissie replied.

               "Exactly my point, but if he does start acting in any way that he does, then that's when we'll start investigating. " I replied.

"Sounds like a plan." Chrissie replied. Then we ate some of our lunch as the rest of our friends came and sat down at our table. Once Elizabeth, Kelsey, Roxane, and Alyssa sat down at the table, both Chrissie and I knew that we couldn't talk anymore about Vlad or anything shape shifter related, because they are humans and wouldn't know anything or understand anything that we were talking about. So we just ate our lunch silently as the three of them chatted about some things. This went on for a while, until they stopped talking and were silent for a brief moment. "Hey Luna?" My friend Elizabeth asked.

"Yeah?" I replied.
               
              "Where is Nathan? I don't see him or any of his friends sitting over here like they usually are." Elizabeth commented.

"Well now you say that, you're right they are not over here. Also before the three of you came to sit down, Luna and I were talking and they never came by the table." Chrissie replied.

                         "Did you two have some kind of fight with each other?" Alyssa replied.

"Uh Yeah about that, Nathan and I are no longer a thing." I replied.

                            "WHAT?!" shouted my friends.

"What do you mean you're no longer a thing? You two have been going out for only three weeks!" Exclaimed Roxane.

      "Yeah here's the reason why, this morning I overheard him talking to Kyle about how he doesn't think that I'm girlfriend material. So I walked over to where they were and smacked him in the face, and I made sure that it left a mark.  Then I told him that I heard what he said and then told him that it was over." I replied.

"Whoa what he did say after all of this happened?" Kelsey replied.

            "Well first, he said ouch that stung you witch. Then he said he didn't care if I heard his comment and that he was happy that we were no longer going out." I replied.

"Well good riddance, that jerk." Chrissie replied as she drank some her chocolate  milk, and then added, "Never liked the guy in the first place."

        "Well I thought you two were a cute couple." Alyssa replied.

"Same here." Elizabeth, Kelsey and Roxane replied.

        "Yeah about that, it was fun but in a way I felt that Nathan was just using me. I don't think he really wanted to be my boyfriend." I replied.

"Really?" Replied Chrissie in an annoyed tone.
     
      "Yeah based on the conversation that Kyle and him where having to day, it sounded like Kyle had Nathan go out with me for him, so that he could find out from Nathan if it was worth dating me." I replied.

"What?" Exclaimed everyone at the table.

        "That's it, those two are jerks and don't deserve to be dating if they are going to act that way. I knew in a way that Nathan didn't like you and was acting, honestly this makes me really upset!" Chrissie replied and then got up put her tray away, but as she was done putting her tray away, she went over to Nathan and Kyle's table and started to yell at both of them. Once she was done, then she came back to our table and stated, "Ok now they know that what they did was wrong."
