Chapter 18

Matapos kong mag pahinga sa bahay ni granny ay nag paalam akong aalis muna. I told her that I want to have my vacation.  She disagreed but she can't change my mind. Buo na ang desisyon ko. Aalis ako para hanapin ang sarili ko.

I called Yuri's number to seek help and thanks she answered.

'Hello'

'Hello who is this. Nasaan si Yuri?' I asked to the man who picked up the phone

'Larissa? Larissa Vicente?' He asked me

'Bakit? Sino ka ba. Nasaan as Fatima Maurice?' I shouted again.

'Easy smile girl. Ako to si Luke. Nandito siya sa hospital. I found her this morning walking alone then a bunch of asshole try to rape her then because I'm superhero I save her and then —'

'Crap that. Just tell me where did you take her'

'Easy. It was in our own. She's safe —'

Kahit na nag sasalita pa siya ay pinatayan ko na siya ng phone.

Agad akong sumakay ng taxi at nag pahatid ng hospital. Mahigpit ang hawak ko sa cellphone ko at sa wallet habang tumatakbo patungo sa room kung nasaan si Yuri. Hindi na ito bago. Kapag kinakabahan at natatakot siya madalas ay nahihimatay ito.

I open the door loudly when I reach her room. I saw Luke standing there. I act as if I didn't know him then look at my best friend who was lying down on the bed.

"Yuri. Damn it. Pinag-alala mo ako" I said to her before hugging her tightly. Her arms was my home too.

"Hey easy. I'm fine. Just panic attack" she said but I didn't care.

I am more that deaf now. How can I tell him that I want to escape. I'm not known for escaping. She know me for being strong. And then when I found my voice I whisper to her.

"I'm pregnant. 6 weeks" I said. Finding the right words to add "I will run and hide. Please come with me" I said to her before crying again.

"Why? Bakit mo gustong tumakbo Larissa?" I hear she asked.

Paano ko sasabihin sa kaniya. Paano ko sasabihing may pinainom sila sa akin at hindi ko alam kung ano ang lagay ng anak ko. Na ang mommy ko kasama ang mommy ni Raiko ay pinagtulungan ako habang wala akong laban.

Gusto kong mag sumbonng sa kaniya. Gusto kong sabihin sa kaniya na gusto kong umiyak at mag wala. Na gusto ko nang sumuko pero hindi maari.

"His Mom wants my child gone. Natatakot ako. Baka pag tangkaan nila ang buhay ng anak ko. And he said that he was not the father of my child. Sabi niya ang landi ko raw at nag papagamit sa iba. Please. Samahan mo ako" I cried even more wge. I told her that

"Hushhh now. Itatago kita sa kanila okay. I'll bring you to my mom's province. Maganda doon. Relaxing. Maaalagaan ka"

"Thanks" I whisper

The phone rang near us. Napaangat naman ako ng tingin para tignan kung kanino iyon ng dumako ang tingin ko ay Luke. Malapit ang cellphone ni Yuri kay Luke kaya siya ang sumagot ng tawag. Niloud speaker niya iyon bago nag salita.

"Hello" Luke said

"Who is this? Where is Yuri?" Inis na sigaw ng tinig ng isang lalaki sa kabilang linya.

"Maurice was in the hospital" mahinahong saad ni Luke sa lalaking tumawag.

"Fuck. Saang hospital? And don't you dare call her Maurice. You have no right to do so." The man shouted again.
