Life; I hate it with a burning passion. My parents were taking me to the mall, and I was very adamant about not going. They finally got me to go in the car because I was promised some cupcakes. We walked around and pointed out stores we wanted to revisit. After an hour we got to eat. We had Mcdonald's because that is what almost every nine year old's dream is. I got my food and ate. Then my dad suggested going to a store called Hot Topic. We walked in and I was shocked. It had band tees hanging on the walls, toys, and jewelry from my favorite Disney movies and heroin comics.

I walked around in amazement. I was looking for something. I don't know what exactly, but something that could bring back my courage. I had been playing more and more video games as of late. My dad had gotten me into them. My dad had always wanted boys, but I was the closest he could get to having one. In my house, my mom, dad, my little sister, me, and of course our dogs! My sister was girly and the exact definition of a typical modern cheerleader. I was not. I was the outcast along with my friends. I sat at the boy's table at lunch and I was the only girl there. If I didn't sit at the boy's table, I would sit by my lonesome at the girl's table. When I sat with the boys, I was in every conversation. They would come to me for help and could talk freely to me.

The game I was playing was an RPG fantasy of sorts. RPG stands for role-playing games. I may not be the boy my dad wanted, but he is happy that I picked up on his favorite things. In the game, you play the hero. Depending on the game in the series, you always start as a child. Something tragic happens and the character you play is looked after by others until old enough to venture out on their own and be the savior. They were all bearing a symbol of a guild. The guild is from the first game. If you carry a guild symbol, you get to earn exp and learn magic as well as get stronger. If you eat certain foods your character will gain weight or the scars stay from battles you fight.

You can use several different spells, but only one can be selected at a time. There are many creatures in the game. There are three common enemies. They are goblin-like creatures, bandits, and these werewolf-like creatures. Then of course there are trolls, but they are one of the few boss battles and the undead. Ghosts are friendly, but skeletons are not. (Although this isn't why you are here, it is good to know the basis of my knowledge. This sounds like a fairy tale and not real life doesn't it?) Thinking of skeletons, I saw an anatomy shirt of a Star Wars creature. I went to grab it and was mumbling to myself about that game. I was so deep in thought that I didn't realize I was even mumbling, to begin with.

It seemed that I also did not notice that a short man was standing nearby. I did not pay attention to all of his features but I should have. I should have kept my mouth shut, but I cannot stop myself from mumbling while in thoughts deeper than the ocean. I was complaining to myself about how hard the werewolf-like creature was to beat; even for a common enemy in the game. The man nearby had not liked what I said. But he didn't act like an adult and confront me about it; he instead let his anger brew within. He let other issues or mistakes add to the anger. He let it boil and then it exploded. He told others of what happened and being easily angered they came up with a plan. A plan that went too far.
