Ch:1- Why didn't you tell me

Charlis POV: I woke up at 7 am to my alarm. I grab my phone and scroll for a bit until I get a text from my toxic abusive boyfriend. 

Josh: 

I'm driving you to school today

                                                    Chase already offered and I said yes...

ok? I'm on my way  

I sigh and text chase, 

Chase💕: 

                    Hey, Josh is coming to my house, so he'll drive me to school see you later.

K, have fun. 

I put my phone down and get ready. I put on a blue sweater and black jeans. 

I go downstairs and grab a granola bar, put on my air forces, and go outside. I see Joshes car. I go in the car and sit on my phone. "I didn't come here for you to be a bitch." He says. "I didn't want you to come here at all," I say smirking. Josh looks at me in disbelief. "excuse me!" He slaps me in the face. "OW JOSH" I yell. "DON'T RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME" He screams back. "sorry..." I slouch down. He raises his hand about to hit me......*Ring ring*. I sigh and look at him. "who is it" he says. I look at my phone and see my dad's contact. "my dad" I say. "answer it then" he says forcefully.  I nod and answer. "hey dad." "Hey sweetie, I just wanted to let you know that we're having dinner tonight, the Hudsons are coming over, and Josh can too if he would like." "I would love to Mr.Damelio," josh says smirking. "All alright, great see you both soon" I smile and hang up. We get to school. "bye josh" I say smiling. "see you soon baby" he says laughing. I walk away and go to Chase. 

Chases POV: I got to school at 7:15 am. I was watching TikTok when I heard a quiet voice behind me. "hey" I turn around to see Charli. "hey charls" I say smiling. She smiles back. I notice a red space on her cheek. "char what's that" I say pointing to the red space on her face. " umm" she looks nervous. "char you can tell me" I say. "Idk if I can," she says. she looks around like she is scared of something. I grab her arm and pull her into an empty classroom. "Charli what's wrong," I ask getting nervous myself. "promise that if I tell you, you won't hit me," she says. "why would I hit you," I ask extremely confused now. "SHIIIT, I didn't mean to say that out loud." "Charli who the hell is hitting you"   she looks down at her shoes. Josh walks into the room. "hey mind if I grab Charli for a minute." Charli looks at me telling me not to let him. "hey Josh, I actually have to talk to Charli for a minute" I say.  Josh looks at me. "she's my girlfriend" he says as if that's going to help. "well josh, just because she's your girlfriend doesn't mean you own her just give me two minutes." Josh rolls his eyes and walks out. "Charli does he hit you," I ask a little pushy. She nods. I hug her. "why didn't you tell me" "cause he said he would hurt you if I did" I pick her up while hugging her. "Charli you need to break up with him," I say firmly. "I'm scared.." she starts to cry. "no-no don't cry, I have an idea, we get him to break up with you," I say. "how?" she says whipping her tears. "my cheating on him, when we come over for dinner, you cheat on him with me" " deal," she says.  

After school. 

Charlis POV: I go home and tell my parents everything. They both think the plan will work, so does Dixie. Chase comes over 30 minutes before Josh does, and we all talk about it. *ding* "ill get it" my mom goes and opens the door. "lovely to see you here josh" "nice to see you too Ms. Damelio," josh says with his sweet act. we all sit down and eat dinner. "I'm going to the bathroom," chase says getting up. I wait 3 minutes then I say, "I need to grab my phone ill be right back"  I go to the bathroom, chase, and I sit there and talk for a bit till I hear joshes footsteps coming to the bathroom. I grab Chase's shirt and kiss him, while josh walks in.  NGL it was kinda nice kissing him. "WTF CHARLI" josh screams. "I- am sor-" josh cuts me off. "we're done, you bitch" He walks out of the house. Chase high fives me, we go back to the table and have a nice dinner without, josh.
